White Pigment ink on Black cardstock using the New 3D Botanicals collection from Spellbinders

- Today, I'm using White Pigment ink on Black Cardstock using the New 3D Botanicals collection from Spellbinders. I love how this looks on it's own, but I take the embossed images a step further and add interference inks on one set of cards and Distress inks on the second set. This creates a unique chalky look with some colour that is a perfect background to add the black cat silhouette die cut.

This is the very first time seeing someone cut the it all out in a folder. I’m gonna say it will not wreck the folder ? What Gorgeous cards 💜💜💐💐💐
No. I’ve used them this way and other folders like it without issue.
So you use the cutter in the embossing folder. Genius. I always did separated

Wonderful cards. I also look forward to your videos. I found when using the green with purple interference ink, the purple part on black card stock faded and lost most of it’s charm.

Are the different sized dies for the backgrounds listed in your links?
No, I didn’t list individual sizes. I played the cut & embossed pieces over the dies and chose which sizes I wanted to use from there
I’m confused why did you put the white pigment ink and then you covered it up with colored ink….I may have missed something in the technique you were presenting.
Because without the white pigment ink as a base you wouldn’t see the distress ink colours because they are a dye based in and are transparent. With the cloud 9 interference pads, I wanted to see the difference between the interference inks on the black cardstock as well as seeing the colour that shows up over the white pigment ink because those pads have 2 different colours. One shows up on black and the other shows up on white😊
Beautiful! I have the Lisa Horton interference inks and I find the shimmer rubs off the paper into my fingers. How do you get past that?
Interesting! I’ve never found that. I’ve tested a couple of times but didn’t have that issue at all. I would contact Lisa Horton crafts and ask them what they may suggest.
When you order from Spellbinders , or SimonSays, how long does it take to get it from the US to Canada?
Spellbinders takes a week. I don’t order from SSS often but I believe it’s about 2 weeks.
What kind of embosser are you running those through?
I’m using a spellbinders platinum 6 machine😊
