Rhett loves other dogs so when he turned 2 we got him a companion so he would not be alone while we were at work. They bonded instantly and have been inseparable ever since. ofcourse you can! if you really want a dog, you can find a way to solve the problem that keeps you from having a dog. if its you age, you get older. if yiou cant afford one, worl doubble shifts or 2 jobs until you have money enough, if theres no room, find a new place to live etc. whining about all the things in life you cant, doesnt get you anywhere or fulfill any needs and sayisfaction!!!!

When my wife and I got our first dog, we would come home every day and see her on the back porch acting like she was bored to tears. So, my wife suggested getting another dog so they could play together and not be bored. So, we got another dog. Then, when we came home every day after that, we saw TWO dogs totally bored to tears on the back porch!!!
John Brown LOL! so true. If I take Rhett and Scarlett in the backyard to play with them they go crazy playing with each other and not me, so I go back in the house they quit playing and follow me into the house.

I love how in the beginning the dog is like "what the hell is thing?" and then he's super happy at the end.
I love how Rhett just collapses on the grass after all of his running and playing in the yard. And Scarlett is adorable. She'll catch up with Rhett soon enough!

1) The puppy is NOT gift wrapped! It is an illusion. A left over Christmas box she is sitting in while I let Rhett in to slowly introduce them. You never know how a dog will react to a new dog in their territory.
2) She is a COMPANION NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR RHETT.
3) Please don't criticize them because they are not from a shelter, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a good life too!
4) I know some people think it is their duty in life to criticize and find something wrong with everything, but REALLY?

I've done that. I've given a puppy to my 3 year old (at the time she was 3) Wheaten Terrier. I thought she would be happy. Oh boy was I wrong. She hated the little Wheaten puppy and they had a life-long love-hate relationship until they both died of old age (the older one died first and the younger one was happy like Rhett when she realized the older one was gone). Unbelievable doggies.
What a nice way to invite a new puppy into your home with having a dog already.
