Re-nesting Young Osprey of Pink Shell Nest Cam

The young osprey (CROW patient #18-0699) was observed on the Pink Shell Osprey nest camera entangled in monofilament fishing line. On March 24, CROW received permission from FWC to help the young osprey. Our Vet Tech was able to free the bird and remove the line which was wrapped around its tongue and leg. She noticed swelling of its tongue and took it to the CROW Clinic for further medical attention. the swelling subsided and the bird was kept overnight to ensure no further swelling developed. The next day, on March 25, the young osprey was returned to the nest. The re-nesting (this video) was originally streamed live on CROW's Facebook page.
