23:36 Thrawn's motivation in his books is actually a quite noble one, to assemble a fighting force strong enough to protect his people, the Chiss, from outside threats. So I hope that is still his ultimate goal.
Baylan and Shin are the most interesting antagonists in SW in a while. Filoni may have learned that the best antagonists aren’t caricatures of evil. The best don’t even just think they’re the real heroes of the story. Their belief is actually at least plausible to reasonable people. That seems like Baylan so far, but we’ll see what they do with him in the last couple episodes.
I have a crush on Shin as well I admit. Lots of fans have named her Shin Hottie 😍 I wanna see her in more seasons, and I wanna know her full story!

11:03 Sabine being so stubborn in finding Ezra makes more sense to me now since we learned in episode 4 that apparently her whole family died on mandalore (which were really important to her) and since she sees Ezra like a brother/family and was tasked by him specifically to find her she really doesn't want to step down from that task.
Let's not forget Ahsoka abandoned her as well, then returned and now Sabine believes she's dead. So she has some abandonment issues, plus she would have been killed by Baylan and Shin.
@@cerberus01It's definitely not all one-sided. We don't know what drove Ahsoka to leave, even if it's f'cked up to do so. And let's be real in this show Sabine isn't exactly a dedicated or fun person to tutor.
What I don't understand is why she just presumed Ahsoka died-just because she fell of a cliff? She didn't even try to go after her or attempt to recover her body out of respect. I actually don't fault Sabine for giving Baylen the map to find Ezra but I am bothered by her just leaving Ahsoka. It makes it look like she didn't care for her master-in turn abandoning _her_, breaking their bond by just going after Ezra no matter the cost.
In all honesty I'm a bit bothered by the portrayal of Sabine as well. Aside from her goal to find Ezra and being a good mechanic she doesn't really have any redeeming qualities or traits that remind me of her Rebels counterpart. She was even being ridiculous towards the howler, saying it abandoned her and calling it a coward. Lmao like wtf, its animal instinct Sabine smh. Obviously she has experienced bad stuff, but she's not the only one. For me this show doesn't really add or build upon what she became in Rebels S4. Her personal story isn't properly developed and we aren't diving into her emotional state, past traumas, insecurities, lacking combat skills or any growth either. To me she just seems like a stubborn, reckless, angry rebel.

@@dontrellmayfieldjr2868 From Rebels we know she's not interested in him romantically. We know Ezra considers her a sister (the holo message from ep 1). And Baylen delved into her mind using the Force and said she believes Ezra is the only family she has left. Though she has Hera I do think she sees Ezra as her younger brother. Rebels was all about 'found family' after all.

the thing is that sabine a regressed back because of everything that happen during season 4 and what happened to her family.

Balan did not promise Sabine would see Ezra again. He asked her "Do it, for Ezra" What he promised was "No harm will come to you."

22:09 The subtitles called them "Night Troopers" so the nightsisters probably did sth to them, maybe they are also undead or sth like that. The troopers have red ribbons wrapped around them for example, so maybe that means nightsister magic is involved.

The fact that you fell in love with Shin Hati is "obscuring your vision" as Yoda would say, Larissa. In Star Wars she can have two arcs, one of her becoming good and then another of her turning back to evil.
People tend to talk up Sabine, but this is the character that designed a weapon that targets beskar specifically. She’s really not as savvy as people say and she has a tendency to be stubborn and foolish. Of course in saying that Sabine was pretty much my favourite character because she was flawed. Thankfully she still is flawed which I do like very much. She’s also still badass

Also everything she says to the dog, she's really talking to Ahsoka. And she's also not wrong.
That makes sense. Though, she abandoned Ahsoka as well by leaving her for dead just to chase Ezra (she didn't even try to look for her body). Being willing to leave a trail of corpses to find someone, so to speak, isn't an admirable trait. We also don't know the full story of the abandonment or if that would make her a coward. The both of them need to hash out their issues this season. Sabine isn't exactly handling things maturely and correctly either.

@@thefiendish186 We're allowed to judge characters based on their behaviour. We don't have to agree with everything they do either. I like Sabine throughout Rebels but in Ahsoka simply less so-she seems more reckless, stubborn and angry. I understand and relate to her on some levels (her love for Ezra, her frustration with Ahsoka's cold demeanor). I just don't like _how_ she goes about certain things.

I don't think Sabine was selfish at all... She would've been killed if she didn't have anything to offer Balin definitely would've killed her ,, also she thought Ahsoka was dead... Who wouldn't do anything for a family member .. In a way giving that nap over saved her life and also bringing her closer to her loved one... She had a choice to make and I think she made the correct one because it would be pretty boring if we didn't have thrawn back..lol

Do you know that Elephants, according to each group, have a place they go to die? It is true! And it must be from this that they created this version of a cemetery for space whales.
Ahsoka got Sabine's family killed and abandoned her. There's dozens of reasons why Sabine's reverted to her Rebels-era stubbornness.
Uhm to be fair, even though its shitty we don't exactly know why and how Sabine was "abandoned" by Ahsoka. Also it's unlikely she got Sabine's family killed, as her parents and brother died in the Empire's Great Purge of Mandalore (under command of Moff Gideon). If Sabine went there she probably would've died with her family. What may have occured is that she was training under Ahsoka at the time, only later hearing her family died in the attack. It could also be a Luke-Yoda situation where Ahsoka gave Sabine a choice of finishing her training or leaving to pursue her family (and she chose the former). Either way she blamed her master for it.
Personally I barely see any resemblance between the show's depiction of her character and her Rebels counterpart. Imo she seems much less competent nowadays: stealing the star map from Ahsoka and losing it to Shin, assuring Ahsoka she's ready to sacrifice the map/Ezra so that Thrawn can't return yet hands it over to the enemy (I understand her choice but still), leaving Ahsoka for dead (not even curious to look if her master was actually dead from a mere fall), initially calling her mount a coward (for using its animal instincts) as she rather randomly and impractically search for Ezra on foot, telling Baylen she likes to avoid self-reflection (blaming only everyone else), not wanting to talk about how she got here to Ezra and that there is no way home (she obviously doesn't know Ahsoka is coming).
