    I have put together many PSA built lower receivers with BCA uppers, and they have been awesome! BCA is making great stuff and rifles that people are looking for in so many calibers, like he said the items are a great price! And they have great customer service they get it fixed and back in a week or less! I have people refer to Anderson AR-15s as "Poverty Ponys" and turn their noses up at PSA or Bear Creek so they can brag about what expensive things they have. Then later they can't outshoot the competition shooters at the range that are using standard ammo and standard firearms who are just having fun and socializing with other shooters I really enjoy seeing the Barney Fifes who have all the high-speed holster and gear and a stack of gun publications who talk a big game but when the old pros leave them in the dust! Milspec is, more than most people will ever need most people can't outperform their firearm.

      That's not what I've heard. I just watched a video that was posted 3 weeks ago where he tried out 2 or 3 different uppers and he had either light or no primer strikes after just 60 or so rounds. The second upper had multiple FTF, FTE and progressed to increasingly worse stove-pipe jams.
      So I'm conflicted on whether BCA is really any good. I've heard other videos reporting QC issues where barrel nuts and various screws holding things together were loose!

    PLEASE offer a 7.5" 300BLK right side charging upper with a 1:7 twist, and PLEASE change your handguards so they stop with the top rail, allowing proper access to the barrel threads & allowing a suppressor to be threaded on without hitting the handguard; these two changes would make a Bear Creek side charging upper PERFECT for my needs. Thanks!

    Just built a 300blk 10.5" pistol using a side charging upper from BCA and a PSA lower with a standard buffer. My question is up to what weight bullet should I expect reliable cycling 110, 125, 150? The pistol is unsuppressed. The reason I'm asking is there doesn't seem to be a lot of dwell time with a short barrel and I don't know if the gas port is enlarged to compensate.

    • @godsdozer
      @godsdozer 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      your gas port needs to be in .095-1.25 range if you trying to shoot subs without a suppressor. Since you already have AGB, I would recommend getting it to the 1.25, you can always use the AGB (preferably bleed off version AGB) to decrease gas if needed.

    What's the actual sound deference in sub and super without a suppressor?

    • @AEMace069
      @AEMace069 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      At the shooter's ear, there's almost no noticable difference. The unsuppressed subsonics will not produce the sonic crack down range like the supers will, that's about it. Also, the subs *may* have a hard time cycling when unsuppressed depending on how the gas system is tuned. In my opinion, there's really no good reason to shoot the subs unsuppressed. Yeah, it's a heavier round but remember the formula for kinetic energy is ½mv² so the higher velocity of the supers more than makes up for their lower mass. In my experience, the 300BO subs fired through a suppressed AR are not "Hollywood quiet" (nothing is) but, the loudest part of that gun will be action. 👍🏻

      @ronalddavidson829 my bear creek 7.5 will not cycle subsonic. I've added an adjustable gas block and tried every setting and recently an H2 buffer. Really frustrating. These are 200 grain subs. It might fire two or 3 then won't strip the next round.

    My Bear Creek 300 Blackout 16" complete upper has a low gas problem, All 147/220 grain brass ejects over my right shoulder when it does cycle which is only when shooting one round at a time, simi auto doesn't cycle at all. I didn't buy this to be forced to purchase a suppressor. Also when dry firing charging the factory and after market bolts don't always go into battery, it feels like something is dragging the bolts. It is a rough and unusually slow, thus causing a failure to go into battery. I've used the same bolts' on my other AR's with smooth solid battery function. Not the Bear Creek. I'm not happy.
