just quick question on this rebuild , with the new crankcase you get hardware , new bolts , seal , plus little plastic part , did you find out where this goes , as i am in process of rebuilding a 500i , but cannot see where this part goes , it never fell out the old case when i separated them , so am at a lose ,
Richard, do you have an old intake boot band? My new Farmertec ms 250 kit saw did not come with one. The seals that came with the kit, sucked. I put seals in it from Stihl and they worked fine. They even had dust covers, which did not come with the Farmertec seals. Those Farmertec seals were so brittle they disintegrated when I tried to put them on the crank shaft.
Some people should be using only the tools that the Swartzentruber Amish do. But I think even a hammer and a pull handsaw wouldn't be safe in the hands of people like this fella..
@@donmayberryjrsOPE If you can't work on this saw, you can't work on any saw properly, sorry. It's not like you got to write lines of code for it or other nerdy stuff, it's still the same things that fail like any carbureted saw. You still got a diaphragm fuel pump, you still got seals, crank, piston, sparkplugs etc. The injector can be refurbished by changing 2 parts in it (if it ever needs it). I never saw electronics ever failing on a 500i, nor on the injection concrete saw they also sell for over a decade now. And that thing sees dust and water continuously, yet the electronic board keeps going.

Piston was lightly scored. It would still run. I don't know how or when it got scored. The injector pump housing was cracked where the fuel lines plug in. The metal bracket that holds it in place was bent in. I'll do all the MDG1 diagnostic tests and run it tomorrow. I didn't see any damage around the injector itself. we shall see
