This is what happens when a great photographer meets a superb model. Kate and Peter know how to do it. Congrats and thank you for sharing your lovely work. Cheers!
Thanks for making sure I always look at the b&w benchmarks using natural diffused sunlight approach. I enjoy the exploration of sharp shadows along with contrast's depth on certain tones. The A7sIII is noticeably pleasing also.
good to see a newer bit of content. i know youre still 'on the road' so travel mercies to you and Bec, and i look forward to more videos! i have like 3 pod casts to get caught up with so theres that too!!!
To get a great outcome you have to know your gear and the second half is a gorgeous model. Great results. I can't be grateful enough that I came across your channel. You have tought me a lot. Can't wait to see the next video. Cheers from Bashkiria
Never would have thought on using the light on that position but now I can't wait to do it!!!! thank you so much! Would love to watch Peter shoot with a Projection Attachment now that they are really popular with LED lights (like the Nanlite Forza PJ-FMM for Forza lights) 😄 Or with a Fresnel for LEDs!!!!
Like the effect a lot Peter Coulson, definitely will attempt to do something similar! Question, will the same light be acomplished with a Magnum Reflector and why did you removed the white board from the floor?
For the second, third and fourth outfits I think I prefer the front view shots of her. But, love this shoot overall. Hey, maybe you should cut a hole in the ceiling/roof and install a motorized skylight for some sun!! LOL! Thanks for a fun video. Have a rockin' day!
Peter, viewing your lightroom library I noticed most your folders end with DNG. I know the Leica's file are DNG, but not the Hasselblad or Sony. Do you convert all your files to DNG eventually and keep them in this format only? And Do you process your work with the original raws, or only the DNG files?
I didn't pay attention to the thumbnail for the video. But I did see the moment she hit that pose. I said "Ohh, touching your shoulder, yessss girl! Thats it" as if I was taking the photos hahaha. I try to channel my inner Coulson when I'm on a shoot.
Peter im curious about your heaters that you use as im thinking about getting the same setup. Propane i assume? and do you swap the tanks out yourself or refill them?
Do you change to Black / White using the Green or Blue filter like in your regular editing? Hope you do a video on how you use your style in Lightroom unless there’s already one out in the Inter-webs 😂😂😂
Many thanks for this new behind the scenes video! @Bec: Many thanks. You are a very good person. May your success in this life is extended beyond you could imagine; I wish that one day you could drive the FRx3 you desire to own. @Kate: Many thanks for posing in this session. I admire you for several reasons, and one of them is because you have the ability to dance on the water; whether it is in liquid, solid or gaseous state, it is less relevant. Definitely without gloves, because the direction of your fingers express the shape of your body. I wish you all the best in your personal and professional activities; I wish you can achieve all the goals you have committed to yourself. @Peter: Many thanks for this “full Sun“ emulation, with black dress against black background. We already know you are a photographer of eyes, but I think the strongest look in the eyes of the Models happens when they see themselves in a screen and from my point of view they are not aware of the power of their smiles when that happens.
I'm seeing in lot in the last few weeks about AI in photography and the threats it brings to professionals. Off topic here a bit just curious what your thoughts are Peter? Is it the same when Digital displace film, photographers who embraced digital survived and ones who didn't well disappeared
AI has no soul and can only do cookie cutter stuff, photographers who are photocopiers should be worried about AI but AI will never know whats happening in my brain :)
10 out 10 for the model. she is amazing. Thank you Peter
Thanks yes Kate is awesome
Excellent session. Nice to see how happy your models are seeing the shots.
Many thanks!
This was a beautiful photo shoot. Kate is gorgeous.
Thanks heaps

Thanks
Those models in your videos recently... just... stunning!

Beautifully done. Credit to the young lady as well.

Glad it was helpful!

OMG! I need to know where her top is from. I love it. As always Peter you are amazing and so inspiring!
Which one?

Can't wait to see the next video.

Wow, thank you!
Fantastic commentary, Peter - great insight.
Many thanks!
That was so good how you brought out all the contrasting areas. Kate is so beautiful (She's no Bec though, hehe).
Thanks so much
Each woman possess her own kinda beauty, she's no bec because she's not bec. Either one will take your breath away :)
Great work!
Thanks!
Great model, great TOG - all you need.
Thanks so much

It looks extraordinary however; your technique is what makes it pop.
Thank you
Like the effect a lot Peter Coulson, definitely will attempt to do something similar! Question, will the same light be acomplished with a Magnum Reflector and why did you removed the white board from the floor?
Yes and I felt the white board gave me too much fill
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Thank you Sir for your response, got it(White Board/Reflector)!
She has great eyes, I can see her as a character in a moody Wong Kar-wai film. Super!
Yes Kate is awesome
Peter. You have such an eye for detail and discipline. Do a video on how you developed that.
Great idea, thanks heaps
Wowww, med prvimi se oglašam ! 😊
Thanks :)

Peter makes the difficult, not easy, but seemingly doable.
Thank you

I always keep the camera in it's original raw format
I definitely understand the dreaded iphone screen shot 😂 another great session! you are definitely one of my great inspirations!
wow thanks heaps
Lovely 💕 lovely❤

You mentioned overexposure warning set at 245. Can that correlated or made to correspond with a Sony?
No with Sony I set my zebra to 100+ then take the models face to zebra then turn down the exposure by 2/3 of a stop
Peter im curious about your heaters that you use as im thinking about getting the same setup. Propane i assume? and do you swap the tanks out yourself or refill them?
Yeah it's propane, we order through a company who delivers new bottles and takes them empty ones when we need it
Hi Peter. Was just wondering why you started shooting/tethering into LR? I'm sure you were using different software before. Thanks!
I have always tethered the Leica to LR, the Hasselblad I tether to Phocus
🤩👏👏👏
The iphone picture part is soooo true... Models share the screenshot but not the final image :D
any advice on where to cut off arms hands hip to leg in photos? I over debate this when shooting or editing
no rules in art and fashion 😊
Do you change to Black / White using the Green or Blue filter like in your regular editing? Hope you do a video on how you use your style in Lightroom unless there’s already one out in the Inter-webs 😂😂😂
I have some on Inspire but I'll have one coming to TH-cam soon, just finalising my workflow
Many thanks for this new behind the scenes video!

Nice model, very interesting video! Thank you! BTW, pc monitor screenshot on iphone is major thing for girls! ;)))
Thanks heaps
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤
Is that the Leica 24-90 SL?
Camera model: Leica SL2-S
Lens used: Apo-Summicron-M 1:2/90 ASPH

@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer thanks Peter that's a very fair Point:) 🤣
Fajn !😉
so beautiful and cute. I think it would have been interesting some pose with a chair
Are you traditional photographers liking or hating the changes AI is bringing?
I'm not worried about AI with my photography but I think it will affect others
Perhaps you could have tried a bare bulb. 😇
or you could try it, the best way to learn 😊
Tricky shooting black on black and separating the subject from the background.
Bec is amazing she is pretty she is hot and always drunk ❤🔥🍷
She's only drunk 50% of the time
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer ok you know better i love drinking❤️
