When Maria Marten needed to disappear from the police for a little bit, her fiancé promised her family that he would get her into hiding. The day she left with him, however, was the last day her family ever saw her alive again.

While I am glad you’ve found a style that fits your desires and interests more, I cannot help but feel the loss of the Dr. Leah role plays and general chatting, calm videos. I selfishly mourn the loss of one of my favorite channels, as even though I adore true crime, I can’t sleep or relax to the videos. Hi Leah. As you probably guessed by the name, I am from the UK lol. Yes there are lots of quaint villages as you imagine, and some are used for filming period dramas for tv and movies, and I'm sure you'd be made very welcome when you finally get to visit. I hope you continue with the true crime videos. I'm a long time fan of yours, and I especially like the UK cases, as I hope to visit each site when the pandemic situation calms down. I know crime is your main fascination, but I wonder if you've ever thought of doing a paranormal series? I think you would do an awesome job! Posting this after seeing a lot of comments/questions about the switch to only true crime videos and some of us viewers missing the chatting, calm, non-true crime videos. Honestly I recommend Leah's Patreon channel if you are not there already. I also started following 2+ years ago for those videos and while the switch to true crime here on TH-cam has been a big change, I find the transition easier because I also watch the "regular" ASMR videos on Patreon :)
I think the main thing that hits hardest is that for all of us that can't afford the patreon, this was such a sudden switch, with no explanation or even a message acknowledging the permanent change, so I think a lot of the long-time subscribers, at least if they're like me, are feeling a bit of a loss, since it came across so suddenly.
Love watching your videos. Love you tea cup and pot. And how good you always make your drinks look. I’m drinking water and eating Taco Bell for dinner. Haha! Late dinner too.

Leah, I feel like you were talking directly to me! When I was in Lake high school I had moments that were shocking to me. I have guessed the time right down to the minute and I have predicted which band was going to be played on the radio right before it happened. I have a lot of other examples that I’ll save for another day. I don’t think they were coincidences. I have predicted both good and bad things. I am so curious as to where this story is going to take us!

London, Heathrow and Windsor are beautiful. Windsor is a lovely village. I was there at 17 and saw John Travolta at the premiere of Saturday Night Fever. I was back to London in 2003. One of my favorite places to visit.

Thanks for an awesome video yet again. If you like Ipswich, you may want to investigate the serial murders from there at the end of the 90s or beginning of 2000s. I know it’s not vintage but I have never seen anybody on TH-cam covering that.
PS I’m from Midlands in England, the land of Shakespeare and Tolkien although I don’t live there anymore. You should definitely visit and go to Somerset as well, especially the city of Bath. It’s incredible. But if you like England, you would love Scotland. Scotland is my second nature seriously. I get all emotional even thinking about it, especially the Isle of Skye.

Hi! To be completely honest, I would LOVE to do more soft spoken true crime. They just don't generally perform as well as the whispered ones, and it's always tempting to appease the larger crowds. In saying that though, my whole attitude with the true crime is creating content that I enjoy, so I'll try soft spoken again soon and see how it goes haha. 💙 Oh as for my voice becoming more raspy, I'm not sure? I didn't think it was...maybe I don't hear it anymore, or maybe my throats been bothering me and I haven't noticed lol. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it! 😊
Your my favourite ASMRist! If you ever plan to come to England, I highly recommend looking to visit York. Its stunning. There's a street called the The Shambles and it reminds me of Diagon Alley from Harry Potter 👌

Haha.......I am from south carolina and I often wear my gun.....sometimes even while cutting my front yards grass. You never know what'd gonna go down in my neighborhood.
The reason he wanted to wait til after the baby was born was because he didn’t want to be with her and back then the babies died a lot. So he waited to see if it was a healthy baby and then marry because they had no choice. Since the baby died he had a way out. That happened a lot back then.
