The 1st axis adjustment is actually separate from the rail locking screws. There are screws at the top and bottom of the elevation blocks that will give you full 1st axis adjustment.

Good video, I have been a CBE fan for years. I had broken a sight pin, my fault and they replaced it at no charge to me. They definitely make quality products. This new sight is definitely worth owning.

If I had a target now I would try it out for sure lol Like the micro adjustments on it and how the screws are easily accessible without stubbies.

A great sight. Will actually last years. So many bells/whistles is awesome. Be fantastic for the field and 3-d with so many distance changes. With a quality scope he’ll of a setup. My 5 year old CBE sight still works perfectly.

Love you videos. You are so informative and it’s nice that you don’t have a bias to once company. You give your true opinion on all your products.
Would it be possible if you could do a video on the locking mechanisms for slider bow sights and why it’s important to use them right. I’m having a issue with my spot Hogg fast Eddie. After about 3 shots I look back at the yardage wheel and it’ll be 3 to 4 yards off. I snug the locking mechanism down but it still moves. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thanks for the product review. Was looking into building a target bow. That might be the sight to go with.

Mine is on the way. I got it because it looks like it has more features than the Axcel and was available at a lower price. I wonder how the weight will compare? But I have shot other CBE products and they have been very good so far. Once I get set up and shoot a bit with it, I will try to come back here and report out what I find.

Would like to see a head to head comparison in the field let’s see what vibration and shooting for a month with both and see which sight holds true in the end. Looks promising CBE may have just nocked one out of the park!!!

I bought this sight and love it but my hamskea tool doesn’t fit for the first axis. I adjust it at the top and bottom of the rail but it’s only flat on the side that doesn’t move. I ended up just putting a level on the top knob to get it close.

  • @TheLoosenit2

Any thoughts on the screw type locking mechanisms for elevation/windage adjustment vs the lever system that Axcel has on the adjustment knob itself? I have a B3 sight and I can't lock down the windage by hand, have to use an Allen wrench to apply enough force to lock it down. Wonder if this sight might be prone to the same issue or if my issue is a one off.

Hey MfJJ, I’m a big fan of CBE, but I’ve noticed their windage lock down, on the trek pro and axis seem to torque the slope rail up and down, have you noticed that?!

Hey there Brother. With all the amazing "slider" type sights out there or are just coming out, and their ability to basically be transformers, I'm gonna have to get one eventually. Right now I just use a 4 pin fixed. Is there a 4 pin with the bottom pin being a slider out there that I should probably try out first. I'm mainly a midwest whitetail hunter. So, that might be a better option for me. I do practice out to 50, but I don't expect to ever take that far of a shot in my hunting area. I do have a Colorado elk hunt happening in my future. That I hope turns into an annual trip. So I know I'll need to upgrade at some point.

Axcel is still better. If you can afford it, get it.
The only thing that the Axis does better are the adjustment pins from the factory. IMO of course.

Not to be harsh but this is the sight you get when you ask your parents if you can get an XP but they say we have one at home from Wish...
Now does that mean its bad, no, cause its got good features. But does it make it a great sight?
BUT I'm seeing some similarities to the last CBE gen of sights and its the use of screws that will rust if youre not careful and that to me is a huge negative. I could be wrong on this though😅
Its the one thing an Axcel will not do while also looking great.
And on the controversial topic of aesthetics, if im going to spend a good amount of money on something new, it had better look the part. Something looks a bit tacky on the Axis but at least it looks better than the Bowfinger1.
There is a guy who started making custom micro adjustable sight tape pins for the XP so the option is there if you need. Id argue your best shooting isnt done via a stuck on tape though.
Funnily enough, the best axis adjustment Ive come across is from a French company called Arc Systeme and they use a simple cam system with an allen key drive. We need to see more of this type of system.

Hi Josh, does your vice tend to move at the hinge even after pressing it tight? My ball joint stays solid but the hinge easily moves when if I try tweaking my bow sight even after tightening pretty hard.

Actually, based on all the previous reviews on the V3X/Phase 4 I would probably have issues with the left and right adjustments.

Shibuya ultima cp pro is probably the most bulletproof target sight on the market but also the most expensive.

    • @liamboyle9199
      @liamboyle9199 ปีที่แล้ว

Could argue between the XP and CPP.
Always gotta be careful with the shibuya with their unique triangle scope windage system and not accidentally running it all the way to the max and beyond. Not an issue if you keep on top of things but you can easily get side tracked.
Something that Axcel brought up recently is their unique tension system which pulls evenly on the rails and I have a feeling the CCP is still the older individual adjustment per section of rail.

So maybe you show a close up of the sight instead of your head!
Shouldn't you set your base high point of your aperture to adjust the vertical travel for full range before you level it?
