    I’d love for you to re-review these cards with the announcement of AA’s new status program. As someone who lives in DFW and has EP status with AA, I think these cards will be immensely more valuable given the ability to earn status with them.

    Note that the Citi AA Business card is only open to those with 5 years or more of credit history, so don't bother applying if you're below that, you'll be instantly rejected.

      I assume you mean 5 years of personal credit history. I opened one for a fairly new business. Less than a year old.

    I have the executive card and have my adult children as authorized users. While they don’t use the card for charges, it does give them and their spouses access to the lounge. #DadPoints. While I have considered canceling the card, I figure the amount of legs I fly with AA each year, the cost breaks down to be minimal for each layover. Classic example was this last weekend. Ninety minutes at DFW. We were hungry and didn’t really have enough time for a restaurant. It was 730PM and most fast foods were either closed or had long lines. We hopped in one of the lounges, grabbed a couple drinks and some food, then headed to our gate. Again, not the cheapest card, but I figure if I were buying a meal and alcohol drinks, I’d pay more without the lounge freebies. I also carry the AMEX Platinum however the Centurion Lounge isn’t always close by.

      Sir that makes a lot of sense. I’ve thought more about the executive card and now I can definitely see where it might be a keeper. Especially if say if your adult children wanted to share in paying the annual fee in return for lounge access. I sure would considering the admirals lounges seem to be everywhere !!!

    The third product is really for folks who are considering paying for an annual lounge membership, but wouldn't mind earning some miles (via card), too. Agree it's a very limited audience for whom it might work.

      Good assessment. I’ve actually reconsidered the card recently. It seems like how I fly there is always an Admirals Lounge there. With the sign up bonus it might not be a bad card to try for a year.

    The only premium Arline credit card I would get is the Delta Reserve because I can recoup the annual fee with one around trip first class ticket from New York to LA with the companion certificate.

      You are right about they. Really easy to recoup that fee.

    I'm getting the executive card next. The only reason is because the annual fee is waived for military. Otherwise I would never haha. Great video!

    "1st checked bag is free" - is this for every person in the group ? Does it mean that if I purchase a ticket that allows hand luggage only, I can have 1extra bag with this card?

    • @LukesPointsandMiles
      @LukesPointsandMiles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know anything about “hand luggage” only but everyone in your party would get a checked bag. I think it’s up to 8 people. But it could be less. I’d check the T&Cs

    • @1yyymmmddd
      @1yyymmmddd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LukesPointsandMiles When I book a flight on AA I can buy a ticket that allows hand luggage only. Such tickets are cheaper. If I want additional bag, I have to pay extra. If I pay extra, I do not pay anything additional - so it is not clear what does it mean "1st checked bag free". It is free in any case if it is included in your ticket price.

    • @LukesPointsandMiles
      @LukesPointsandMiles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1yyymmmddd I’m not sure i understand. I think we call the hand luggage a “carry on” which is normally free on AA. A free “checked bag” would be no fee for a checked bag but would “not” allow an additional carry on.

      @@LukesPointsandMiles Yea, that would be great, as I went to their website, but am still confused between the cards. You should do a Delta Reserve review, as it has the best benefits out of any travel card on the market. Hint: "First Class Companion Travel Certificate," and "Centurion Lounge Access."

    Hi, you mentioned not to spend 30 ork 40K on AA card, but said there are other better cards to spend. Can i know which other cards are better to spend 30K + to have optimum benefits. I was leaning towards AA business card as after spending 40K, we can get gold status with American and Ruby with one world...TYA

    • @LukesPointsandMiles
      @LukesPointsandMiles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I’m made that video before the new status program. Before the new loyalty points, there wasn’t much incentive to spend. Spending 30-40k on a card they earns transferable currencies could likely earn you twice as much travel.

    @luke'spointsandmiles when I apply for the Citi Biz Plat Sel card it says to not use a PO Box for LLC address. Will I get rejected if I use my home address? I work from home in a different state than where my LLC is set up and has PO Box. I work remotely in real estate investment - I assume I would choose the sales option on the application. Any advice is welcome, I will apply for another AA card if this will get me auto-rejected. 3 years history on my LLC. 813 F, 800s all personal credit scores. 0 biz credit cards, this will be my first.
