i just posted about how i felt the breakfast buffet was subpar and didnt see your comment joseph, but my friend did get an omelette and i can say it looked legit, and if i ate eggs i wouldnt have hesitated to order one myself but other than that the hotel pan offerings were not the best
Jorge your channel is great!!! Especially love when you compliment the servers and workers as they all work hard! Will be back in LV in 4 weeks but will probably pass on the buffets LOL keep up the great work
Mgm grand had that furniture since the first day they opened. I know cause I stayed there the first year it opened. I hated the buffet. I put it in the same category as Excalibur. Good video
Jorge great video. The Omelet looked tasty. Thanks for the tips on purchasing tickets vs paying direct. Definitely feel like they could at least have a pizza or pasta options.👍🏻
I stayed at the new York new York and got 2 free buffets at the MGM Grand. I was in town for a good friends wedding a few years ago. The buffet was fine there was a line. But it went quick. You can't beat FREE. 🎉
@@Vegas-Must-Try Having worked for them, it's doubtful MGM Grand management wants to really remodel, it's like they're not sure if they want to shut it down to save on expenses or keep open so they can have a buffet in name only to impress tourists. Excalibur and Luxor have basically identical buffets as MGM Grand with the same business hours, prices, but nicer decor. These are all ok buffets to try once for tourists or casino customers with comps. All others should look elsewhere.
Thanks for the review of the MGM Grand Buffet, Jorge! You are right about the chairs. They do actually look like those from a ballroom. The food didn't look that appealing but the price does kind of match it, especially in the location. There are at least 2 items I would not go for at a buffet Sushi and prime rib. I would go for items like fried chicken, mash potatoes and steamed vegetables, fresh fruit and the salad bar. That's just me.
Went on Monday July 25th, totally different from your video. Many items on your video were not available and their pastry selection was greatly lacking. In addition, I went there pre-pandemic, they took out two food stations and replace them with tables.
I am sitting at home in Toronto, 2200 miles from Las Vegas, and even from here I can see that most of this food is dried out and terrible. When I was in Vegas, for a cheap buffet I went to Main Street Station downtown. Simple, inexpensive and surprisingly good. I can see why there isn't a big line for this buffet.
Hey Jorge, Nice to finally meet you. Esp taking the time to chat and pic at the MGM Park. We stayed there after your review! Thanks for the great videos and details within.
I feel like u were hating this buffet the moment u walked in lol.. And yea buffet is all about walking around so going to get your drinks is fine.. like good exercise man lol
Hi Jorge! Great review of the buffet! I love MGM Grand but the buffet was free for me when I booked my room at NY NY in my MGM Rewards account, which is probably the only way I would have it. Having said that, it is good for basic. Thank you! CAB😊
Thank you for sharing and showing both the good and bad. Now I totally want to go there just to try that Tornado thing haha. I don't have preferences to the design and decor of a buffet but no Italian or Mexican? That is a huge surprise and I would hope it comes out at dinner time.
Informative and pleasant. Seeing all this food, It strikes me that this is well worth $35 or so. I know everything has gone up, but it looks like pretty decent quality and value. Why would anybody knock this?
@@Vegas-Must-Try Well, you do these comparisons and they are informative and entertaining, thx. So you would be focused on every last lepton of value and nuance. I am a mere consumer. I only ask: am I getting value for my money? Is the venue pleasant? Is the selection good? Realistically, nobody can make a dent in these offerings consistent with health and reason. I used to go to Chi buffets regularly maybe 30 years ago. They were all really good, they had their own personalities. Yeah, you could get, whatever the lyric was, frizzle-frazzle sauce on the side at the Four Seasons that you might not get at the Palmer House. But they were all welcoming and lovely and you could have a great time with friends and family. That's the humble perspective I bring to the table and it strikes me that this buffet would have passed with flying colours. Excuse length of reply.
they have a pasta station! it's the same situation as the omelette one, you have to talk to the person and they make it right there. also the buffet used to have more sections kinda in the center where i guess seating is now, weird that they got rid of it....
Long ago, in the 90s I had friends that worked at MGM and I had the opportunity to go to the EDR one night. My take away was that it wasn't bad for free food for employees. That same week I went to the buffet that had. And literally the food was the same! Only people were paying for it.
I did the MGM buffet back in 2011 and like you it felt a bit below expectation, at the time it was highly rated along with the one at Planet Hollywood which I believe is now closed. Definitely prefer to pay more to try Wynn or Bacchanal (I already did Cosmo and Bellagio which are great but pricey).
Here's a clue about scrambled eggs at 99% of all buffets with an omelet station. Have the chef at the omelet station scramble you 2 or 3 fresh eggs. The big pan of eggs come from a big bag of not so fresh eggs. Just saying............
A what???? A fruit plate? Come on Jorge, your not serious. Your stomac would be sick after that!😅🤣 Thank you very much for your videos. Nice job, great energie, super smile!
Wow I can't believe the MGM would have such a lackluster buffet. Considering it's probably the most famous casino in Vegas since it's hosted so many big boxing and ufc fights.
@@Vegas-Must-Try The pre pandemic version of this buffet was ok; looking forward to trying this at the end of May. Also looking to the return of AYCE at Palms this Summer.
Overall the vibe is no different from our local casino in our town or as someone else said Hometown Buffet and considering that you are at the MGM and the price you pay the ambiance seems lacking. Also, I am guessing from some of the food presentations including the Tornados that they buy everything from the local food wholesaler (such as Sysco) and hardly make anything fresh. Tornados are sold at many convenience stores throughout the midwest and of course, they are also sold at 7-Eleven.
It was way better before they closed during the pandemic. I went again in December and it was not as good as it used to be, quality and selection has declined but the price has gone up. Bellagio isn't much more and its worlds better IMO.
No!!!! No worth it!!!! My husband and I spent $70 for the breakfast after tax, tip. The omelette was delicious!!! Buuuut that was about it. Everything was just “ok”. The coffee was disgusting! Not one cup I got tasted good. Let’s see eggs okay potatoes okay bacon okay. Basically not worth the price! Sausage NOT GOOD!! Very disappointed especially the COFFEE!!! Seriously how do you mess up coffee that bad!!?? All of them tasted bad. Anyway we tried it and it’s a NO for us.
the food selection looks underwhelming for a buffet of that name "MGM Grand Buffet", but i guess it's cheap enough to go to more than once a month, i would probably go once a week there if i lived there.
since they reopened the buffets post pandemic, mgm is ABSOLUTELY NOT worth the money - ill preface this with saying im not the type of person who eats a big breakfast but their lunch offerings aren't good either. mgms dinner buffet on the weekends pre-pandemic was excellent, with bellagio being the best for me out of the mgm properties. avoid until dinner buffets come back IMO
Hey! It’s Joseph the omelette chef thank you so much for the good review really enjoyed cooking for you. Hope to see you again at the station !!

Where's the foods at? I don't see any foods in the buffet
Thanks for the review! I think I might only go to this if it was comped by the hotel. You’re looking great! Muscles be popping under that t-shirt 💪

Looking pretty good Jorge! I would definitely have gone for many of those breakfast tornadoes 😋
Which buffet would be best breakfast?
I would say the Wynn, but for dinner or even lunch the Bachannal
