I live a sober life and what keeps me going is working forward with my fiance, hitting the gym daily, opening a pack and knowing that I have a Ruxin video to look forward to. It's great that they reprint this kind of boxes and printing them different it's good. That way it's fair for collectors and for people that just want to open old packs. What it's not great is that Konami only released this in Europe 😢
I think it's nice to get reprints like this every now and then, gives us a nice hit of nostalgia while also letting newer players experience what we did back in the day. Nice pulls too!
I think it's cool that Konami is reprinting sets and making them distinct from original to give people a more affordable way of opening it while still letting collectors have a clear original
@@jkurtzz modern card stock, they look and feel like new sets rather than the old card stock. Old cards have a very distinct look, as Ruxin mentioned most people will be able to tell this is the 2024 reprint compared to LOB reprints not being as distinguishable. I think this should have had 25th stamp too to further distinguish when it was reprinted. Maybe even add some collectibility.

LODT was actually the last set before the rare and foil sets they started that in TDGS. I think this is cool they did this reprint I know a lot of ppl are upset but always collect 1st Edition guys for vintage!

This set brings me nostalgic, so I've ordered one a few days ago. I remembered I've opened an error box where there is no super and ultra but was replaced with all ulti, and also pulled honest ghost rare and JD too in the same box. Store owner was in shock too lol.
I’m actually pretty stoked about this set. The cards look good and I’m glad that they made the foiling new school like you said so you can tell them apart from the old. Big W I think
They shouldn't have made this Euro only for sure. But the good thing is the reprint itself for a ghost rare set. Lodt and Ptdn are notoriously difficult to find and very expensive. Reprinting these sets instead of the 10th re-release of Lob and Srl is a move in the right direction
Its nice for those old sets to be reprinted as long as they dont mess with the value of the original printings, i like that those printings differ from the old ones
As far as I know they will print Retro Pack (which will be released next week) in the original style. I'm excited to see how it looks, I love the old style.

I was very happy when it was announced that the set would be reprinted. It is one of my absolute favorite sets. I don't think it's a bad thing that the style is new, but rather a good thing that the cards differ from the older ones. I'm looking forward to the next videos about the set and to my own upcoming openings of the set.
I approve of the reprints of older set for nostalgia purposes and giving players a chance to experience opening older boxes that they never had a chance to.
I like the look of the ultis and ghost from this set. The other stuff, not as much. Modern print doesn't look as great on the lower rarities. The reprint Ryko from here and the one from RA02 are almost indistinguishable.
Agree the ultra and super rares in the new printing look so cheap its really hard for me to see value in a card that looks exactly the same as the one from another set with the new print style, im curious to see if they can still manage to print like the old style with the retro pack reprint.
as someone that dropped out of yugioh back at the start of gx and just now coming back to it i really like all the reprinting. May not be great for overall value but its nice to be able to catch up

I’m very happy these have a slightly different texture and design than the originals. Having exact copies devalues the originals and causes nothing but confusion.
I think it's cool. I'm sure they are doing it because Europe needed it's own product like the US is getting. I found them for 80 a box, but shipping is the kicker.

I remember this set coming out and going to the sneak peak this set has so much sentimental value to me i love it the frogs wetlands arcana force mirical flipoer to help stall volcanic queen the weaker lava golam a few battert men there was something for everyone to enjoy back when you where aloud to actually play the game
I think they put more thought and effort into to making this as nostalgic as possible but it’s clear and simple that they will never ever be able to replace the originals , whether it be $ issue or the fact that things are just mass produced using different materials and machinery now days.
Fair but Konami isn’t doing this to compete with used and sealed cards. They are going to tap into that market that otherwise would have gone to TCG or EBay to snag these cards. The only time the $ will matter is for resellers because to your point they won’t match the originals, but they’ll be affordable and profit going to Konami instead
Love Lightsworns, remember going to my first locals and getting absolutely stomped by Gadget/Frog control (I think that is what it was?) and Toadally Awesome. Humbled my expensive Lightsworn deck, good memories!

I think the reprint set is fine it gives people the chance to feel old nostalgia and hopefully get a ghost honest
It’s also cuz the set wasn’t printed in Euro, like how retro pack 2 (?) wasn’t printed in the USA

Reprints are definitely welcome so newer fans like me get to open old stuff as well but it's too bad they made it an eu only product.

If I remember right they also kept the original effect text. Not sure how I feel about it but it's a minor thing anyway.

How exactly is this differentiated from the original? The foil stars was a change from years ago…even the set code is the same.

Love this set. Also love that I sold my 1st Edition Substitoads (3 of them) right before the reprints.
This was my favorite set growing up. Lightsworn and Arcana Force have been a couple of my favorite decks since forever.

Horn of Heaven is "When a monster(s) would be Summoned" and that also required you to tribute a monster
I love that they reprinted the ultimate rares to resemble the old ones. Yes there's some difference to them, but I still like em.
