I worked for Young Country radio in Seattle in the late 1990's and got to introduce Willie and his band to the crowd at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe, WA. THAT was a treat in itself! But the biggest treat was learning from one of the fairs security guys calling in the next morning that AFTER the show, a die-hard Willie Nelson fan got a major score. He'd waited and waited to meet Willie up until the fairs closing time, being told repeatedly that the meet and greet was over. But later, as the tour bus was getting ready to leave the grounds...Willie was told the guy was STILL hanging out. So he said, "Well bring him in!" What a high that guy must have felt! (In addition to the second hand haze already permeating the bus I'm sure...)
