Nothing like homemade soup. Especially in the winter. Beats that canned crap by a mile.

Great recipe, Louise! The only thing I'd add is mushrooms because we love them.
For those that don't know, the gelatin consistency in homemade bone broth is from the breakdown of the cartilage and bone marrow during cooking. The flavor is amazing and well worth the effort of making a large batch and freezing.

You inspired me, so I made "ALL the Fridge Leftovers Quick Turkey Soup." Celery, carrots, boxed low sodium chicken broth, cut up a whole tomato, small onion, bunch of green onions, 1 cup leftover turkey, entire 1lb deli-sliced smoked turkey slices, teaspoon minced garlic, cup of leftover taco meat, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, basil, parsley, sage, oregano, rosemary, and 1 cub Knorr Chicken Flavor Bouillon. Cooked 7 minutes, 10 minute release. Oh, and 1 cup brown rice, and 1 packet of boil in the bag rice, and I substituteda can of black beans for wild rice. It is So good. 😊

Thank you. I made a giant pot of Turkey Noodle soup after Thanksgiving, which is my tradition. But I'll try this recipe with the extra stock I had and froze. This really sounds good!

Hi Louise, Happy Holidays. I make my chicken soup exactly like this only with noodles. I love the wild rice idea and definitely going to make this along with the bone broth. Thanks so much for all the hard work testing the rice for all individuals. ❤

Hello Louise, enjoyed your video as always! Can you possible do a video on an 8-11 pound WHOLE turkey in the NEW Ninja Foodie XL 8 Qt pressure cooker/steam and crisp. with the smart thermometer? I tried this over Thanksgiving and it turned out ok(I brined the turkey overnight first) but your recipes are always much better. I initially tried the steam and crisp feature but of course the breast was too near the burner so I ended up pressure cooking the turkey and then air crisp it for just a short time. The turkey was very moist, but I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you as always for being such a great teacher! (I am a retired High School History Teacher and admire your teaching abilities!)

There's nothing better than turkey and rice soup where the rice has started to split.

I made turkey noodle soup. I made a turkey broth first and went from there.
