Yoooo that was sick! The Beginning of the video is sooo creative and Overall well made! Thank you very much! It is quite hard for us Yink Mains in the evil Elite World. Please go on with the MU game Plans for Other Characters. Much love
Holy shit how did I not see this...I need to watch this ASAFP Also, the intro and your work in general is godlike. Every time you upload we Yinks are blessed!
i still wanna see ddee's ivysaur against acola or onin. already seen jake get dismantled but that could just be a jake thing 'cause he unplugged and walked off after losing the first stock of game 3 that set lmao.
I feel like outside of people who say "Steve ruins the game/ ban Steve" (this is me btw LOL), the most common way that I see Steve copium present itself is in the form of people saying their character beats Steve. It's really weird and I can't explain why this is what happens, but it just is lmao. I've even had people who main mii swordfighter lay down a case on why Steve loses to msf. Anyway, I think this is probably a really solid gameplan for this matchup as young link, but I'm never gonna believe that young link wins the matchup.
The main problem is with such abstract mechanics like Steve's building. It allows a theoretically infinite skill ceiling which means if the Steve is just good enough, he wins every matchup every time. But this is where human error comes in. Every player makes mistakes; MKLeo makes mistakes on Joker and Pythra, Riddles makes mistakes on Kazuya, and so on. Sure, a PERFECT Steve is, on paper, unbeatable. But there is no such thing as a perfect Steve because humans make mistakes. You don't have to be good enough to beat a perfect Steve, because it doesn't exist, you just have to be good enough to beat the human who picked Steve. This is why I think the "perfect gameplan" for beating Steve doesn't really have much to do with any particular matchup, it more has to do with punishing every mistake as hard as possible.
@Ethan Stewart I don't even think we have to speculate that hard. There's tech out there that we know exists and just isn't implemented by the Steve reps in bracket. PMLG is one example and there's also planking which steves don't utilize (lowkey bc they know it would make a Steve ban too easy) and NIL combos
I think it‘s similar with rob, in the sense that on paper, your tools are good against the opponents tools, but in reality he has a way easier gameplan and then still has a way crazier punish game than your character, especially if optimized, making it that so that in reality, it‘s very hard.
Great video! At times like these where Steve is giving a lot of ppl trouble a mu guide is always helpful. Do you think yink is a viable counterpick for Steve?
Steve is very strong in general but I think YL can be a good pick if your main struggles. You’ll need some clean YL play as there’s not too much room for mistake, but the gameplan in this video can get you there I believe :)
@@hivesteel Those are different, but arrow can still hit, but hit stun is greatly reduced especially at low percents. Remote bomb I rarely use in the matchup. It takes too long to get it in position. But D-tilt would still break blocks I think. That’s one of my biggest struggles. Breaking blocks.
@@Dribin My Link does the best, but Terry worked the one time I used him. Last stock last hit though. Toon Link also does ok. My Young Link is the worst out of the three since I haven’t practiced confirms enough. My Joker definitely does not work. I tried Marcina and my Marth has the edge. Roy/Chrom don’t work against his Steve but Roy works on his other main: Pit.

This was the best intro to a video I have ever seen. Keep up the good work.

We're going Armada mode on the counterpick to the meta threat
Thank you! I probably can't win against a good steve but at least I want to stop loosing to bad Steves 😭
Very nice vid dude. Thx for the knowledge.
Hell yeah that down tilt run away arrow sounds amazing! Will try this!

I completely agree with everything you’ve said

@@xanander4693 it might be slight Steve favor and there are probably better options, but if you feel like outcamping him Yink is an option
nice video keep up the great work :)
I can beat all of my friend’s characters except his Steve. Can I use the same ideas with regular Link? Or is he too slow?
I think Link arrow and bomb are too different than YoungLink so you can't use the same gameplan

What is the song in the intro?
« The Legendary Hero » from the Wind Waker soundtrack
@@hivesteel no I was talking about the very first one on the piano
@@calistrenght_5780 It's a piano cover of the Hyrule Castle theme from Wind Waker.
