Car stereo watts are usually grossly over exaggerated. Amps today rated at 800 watts give equivalent loudness to 1970s amps conservatively rated at about 50 watts. Car stereos especially have always been extremely liberal in their power ratings
They simply called Upscale...not some crazy things he said about restore to 90% original. Its just Upscaling the music by adding in em high end frequency.
Can't a salesman have enough sense to shut up during musical demo/promo? If I were considering the ML system I'd chase that right seat blabbermouth from the car.
Does this vehicle employ Automatic Noise Cancellation where microphones in the car cabin pick up road noise and have the audio system generate an out of phase signal to reduce that noise? Or does the RX 350 not need this because it is quiet enough already?
This would explain why most of the satellite audio sounds thin, not rich in sound and almost all sound comes from the front center speaker in the 2018 RC350 F, fade to rear doesn't help nor equalizer adjustments. Only sounds good with orchestra, classical, or acoustic.
Can someone please help. So if i buy a 2016 RX 350 with ML sound, it will guaranteed have the 15 speakers? On carfax it only says 9 even though its ML. Also, if its a 2016 RX 350 F-sport with ML, is it still 15 speakers?
Pioneer sound is found in base model, has fewer speakers and it's without sub. Mark Levinson for $1100 is made by harman, has 14 speaker plus sub in 12 places.

How can you get surround from a 2 channel source recording? That's technically impossible. If I put an SACD in their player, would it be able to handle that, or just reduce it to 2 channel stereo?
I answered my own question. I guess they do it by a proprietary process, but how discrete each channel is is anybody's guess. My BMW 440i has Harmon Karden Logic 7, and sounds great, but it is hard to tell what speaker is doing what, as they are so close together. I popped a Steely Dan SACD in, and it played fine. I guess I am getting the best money can buy with my current system, at this time. Next time I lease a new Lexus, I am going to get the ML system, though. I doesn't add that much to the payment, and I want good sound for my music. Anyone disagree?
Jeffrey Bank i usually do it with a spatial imager and processing units will take the space between signals and the signals themselves to the appropriate speakers depending on the manufacturer of the speakers and the tuning by frequency. technically this can be accomplished with any songs no matter how old. only depends on the software. it is incredibly hard for me to find the trim i desire that also has these mark levinson systems as they are almost exclusively individual addons that are not included in any packages
I have an ES with the same 15-speakers ML system as this RX. The 3 speakers on the dashboard have 2 speakers stacked atop each other, making it counted as 2 speakers.
Surround does NOT work well for music listening. You don't have band members behind you at a live concert, do you ? Haven't you ever heard of staging ???
Have an old 2008 Mercedes’ r350 and 2018 m3 that both have stock Harmon Kardon systems. Compared to these the Mark Levinson sounds terrible. I used to have a 2007 IS300 when new and that ML sounded way better than the 2016 RX350 MArk levinson.
