I left the U.K 5 years ago but I spent years specimen hunting for perch. These videos make me want to come back 😫 Glad you’ve finally started packing scales with you. It killed me to see you guessing if something was 2 or 3lb In past videos 🤣 Tight lines!
I've used that Berkley spin tail very often, unfortunately it doesn't work in Poland for perches. Ive catched a lot of rudds on that lure. interesting stuff it works for u. Greetings from Poland mate :)
G'day Chris, nice session again mate. Awesome Perch and a couple of good Pike , crickey that water is raging fast , all the best form down under mate. 👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great video Chris, I'm always excited about your catches and you have great waters with you with really good perch and pike stocks. I'm looking forward to the next videos from you. Greetings from Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) and more good ones catches.👌👌
Some cracking Perch there Chris. Well done for getting anything with the water in that condition. My rivers have been the same here locally but hopefully I'll be getting out this week, now that they are running off and bagging a few Perch and Pike myself. ☺
I bought one of these recently. I have seen some stuff about changing the treble for a single. Should I or should I keep the treble? Just wondered as I saw you had a treble. Thanks
How does the Berkley Pulse Spintail FEEL?? Do you also feel it vibrating when you reel it in slowly, like a chatterbait or something like that? I have a number of spintails (other brand) and the hooks often get stuck on the blade while trowing the lure. In addition, I think feeling the vibration of my lure is very direct fishing and I don't feel that with the ones i have. I was just wondering whether it is worth purchasing them. Hope you can help a fellow fisherman out.
My best perch in the U.K was 2lb 2 ozs caught in a gravel pit in Middlewood Cheshire. The pit eventually became a garage dump and was completely filled in. Plenty of perch here in Ontario but I have not caught one over half a pound.
Another great vid Chris. How about another underwater video where you can maybe see winter pike taking deadbaits or live baits and maybe see if your lucky if the bigger lazier pike prefer dead to live? Your doing a great job
Another great video chris, and some cracking fish caught too. Those Perch are absolute beauties mate. When you were putting the I think the first big one back, something rolled down by the side of your arm into the water ? I guess that you were unaware of it ? again I will guess you would have attempted to grab it 😉. With regard to the rod, is a trigger type or just a normal lure rod that you just use a baitcasting reel on ?? If a normal type rod, does it react any differently 🤔 ie the spine of the rod, or is that a thing of the past ? Again nice one. Les.
The berkley pulse spintail is surely one of the best lures I have ever used. I get fish everytime using it, and not only perch but pretty decent sized northern pikes aswell. Highly recommend!
I've over thought the 28g lure weight. What did you mean by max weight 28g? Is it not 30? 3.20am and can't sleep..and process simple things it seems lol Cheers
Being honest I probably wouldn't even have bothered trying with those river conditions, goes to prove I am definitely a fair weather fisherman. 😁 Great to see you helping Carl catch the barbel and chub on his fishing challenge, really showed your river knowhow and your unselfish nature.
We don’t eat them here in the UK mate, all coarse fish are catch and release, the rivers would be barren in no time if people took them for the table,we have a bit of a problem with Eastern European people poaching them though. I have eaten perch in France and can confirm it’s a tasty white meat!
Love it how no matter where you go fishing, that first cast is an instant ‘no other care in the world’ feeling. Keep doing what you’re doing Chris, won’t be long til you’re on the TV pal. Are you from Derbyshire or Staffordshire by any chance?
I'm the same as the angler loosing pike to the dinner plate. The pike fishing here in West Sussex has been shot to pieces. Just the odd jack it's heartbreaking.
you have some dam good waters near you pal. im doing a fair few pke fishin trips on dead baits in my local park waters , so many of our pike are ending up on dinner plates and its not english anglers takeing them
Just a PSA - Even the tiny 5g versions of these lures can catch big pike. I was out perch fishing with one and an 15-18lb pike hit it. Ive had a few smaller jacks with it too. Dont think because its barely the size of a thumb that the pike wont care. They will hit it if they get the opportunity.
What net should i get, i want a net that's a decent size. The net i currently use always has the hooks stuck in it and it takes ages to take out and sometimes we have to cut it so any recommendations?
Looking for advice from any perch hunters in the comments section: I’ve been fishing small rivers and brooks for perch, have lots of success until the cold weather starts and then they all disappear. Assume this is due to all the weed/cover dying back but where do the fish go??
In this kind of cold weather they seem to disappear into deeper water/ look for structures also where they can hide so basically you really have to search hard for them. Also try drop shotting with live worm or slugs this is my go to method in the cold winter months seems to work better than lures for me. Hope this helps you get some fish on the bank.
Whats going on Chris, who is this scammer pretending to be you and giving away free gear and then wanting money for postage I know its not you but he is doing his damnedness to do a good job impersonating you
It never gets old watching the perch you catch
Enjoy the video
Thanks for sharing 👍

Nice lures Chris and a nice catch of perch too .
Great looking Perch -mThanks for sharing
Some cracking perch there Chris! 👌 I'll be doing perch fishing tomorrow on my local river!
That’s a nice perch! 💪🏻💪🏻🎣

Wow some seriously hench perch there a pleasure to watch!
Wow cracking Perch chris, you always make it look so easy, im not very good at lure fishing, need to practice more, happy Sunday mate.
I like your videos a lot. But a genuine question: Why use a bait caster/multiplier reel over a light fixed spool reel?
I bought one of these recently. I have seen some stuff about changing the treble for a single. Should I or should I keep the treble?
Just wondered as I saw you had a treble. Thanks
Those Perch are awesome mate, well done buddy and another cracking video!
On the bike! Nice. Just like we do in the Netherlands. Pike on a bike!
Your videos are brilliant

Our river is up and Brown as well. Would love to go to the Secret Ponds, were I know there are really Big Perch. Keep 'Em Coming.
Some big ol lads caught very enjoyable watch bud as always.

Les.
Nice perch. And nice job helping Carl with his multi species challenge. Happy holidays from Buffalo N.Y.
Another great session Chris, those Perch look incredible, and the new lure is working wonders.
Great vid Chris 👍
Great fun as always 😊
A big perch ,,is the best fish to catch ,,I'd rather catch a massive perch than anything else ,,👍
The berkley pulse spintail is surely one of the best lures I have ever used. I get fish everytime using it, and not only perch but pretty decent sized northern pikes aswell. Highly recommend!

Love a good perch
Nice session 👌🏼

Yes legend.
Great video! What's the full name of that lure?
Love vid mate
What was the landing net you was using fella..
you have some dam good waters near you pal. im doing a fair few pke fishin trips on dead baits in my local park waters , so many of our pike are ending up on dinner plates and its not english anglers takeing them
Same by me pike and perch on the plates but a few of the people taking them out have ended up being thrown in and there tackle taken by the locals
@@bill0273 nice one chap, keep kickin them in
I dont really condone taking canal/river fish home but assaulting people is quite a bit worse.
The law states you can legally take 15 fish a day includung a pike up 45cm per day we need to change the law asap
@@catalickconverta6823 to bloody true it needs a change big time, our waters are been killed by bums

Beautiful spot what river is it
Dunno how you keep doing it….I’ve been out 4 times this week and haven’t had a touch 🤷♂️
Looks weird, but effective!
What net should i use for pike because mine snapped from a 14lb pike
did you get your can back? do you eat fish? and why never catch and cook?
What net should i get, i want a net that's a decent size. The net i currently use always has the hooks stuck in it and it takes ages to take out and sometimes we have to cut it so any recommendations?
A rubberized net with large holes would probably work well
You need to put some wind in your wheels. Tight lines.
Little bit of Air in the Tyres 🚲
you do the walking find and you will seek top bloke
GZ m8, nice vid break a leg

@@sparky36199 - thanks Mark, appreciate the advice. Will definitely try worms on a drop shot rig. 👍
where do you fish? There are no such fishermen in London😢
Hi
can i get a hey ? :D
Does he eat any of these fish?
No. It's against the law in the UK to kill fish - except trout & salmon in certain circumstances.
No, that's why he catches so many.
