    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup, and with doing past paper questions and topic Qs you’ll be able to see where your weaknesses are or if you’ve forgotten any content and you can then work on that!

    Tysm for this video! Do you have any tips for medicine interviews (mmi format) and how to stand out? Thank you :))

    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heya, for interviews I would say make sure you are well versed in the NHS values and constitution principles etc., and the system overall. Also focus on the teaching style of the universities you applied to and the benefits (and negatives) of such teaching style and be ready to answer any questions about it, perhaps if the universities you applied to have a certain topic that they are proficient in / focus on that and mention it as well (for e.g., barts focuses a lot on research so I asked about their research opportunities and mentioned a research project that I did which earned me plus points). Make sure to also look at the main ethical themes that revolve around medicine such as confidentiality, capacity, autonomy, beneficence, etc., as mentioning these in your answers will give you better points. When you don’t know an answer to a question, try and not stress and instead talk through your thinking process even if you end up saying at the end that you’re not sure. These are some of my main tips, hope they are helpful and good luck in your interviews!

    For biology and chemistry did you do all the old spec papers ive started to do them :) also when do you think is a good time to start the new spec papers

    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว

      For chemistry I mainly only used the A level chemistry website for the papers and the aqa website for the new spec ones, so I didn’t exactly do the old spec ones (tho I’m sure many of the questions came from them) For biology, I just used studymind, mme revise, & pmt. In terms of starting doing the papers, there’s no exact time but if you feel like you’ve finished reviewing your subjects and ready to start past papers then go for it! (I started doing whole past papers around 3-4 weeks before the exams)

    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, I would say just see how much content you can go through everyday at a good pace as when you finish depends on how much content you can do, try not to push yourself too much and make sure to give yourself rest days. Ideally, I think finishing at around end of april would be the best so you have time to just focus on practice questions, good luck!💪🏼😁

    Hi, firstly I am so so happy that I found your channel. I have a question… I have mocks after February half term and I’m revising for them as much as I can, for example I’m memorising content by blurting and practising questions. I don’t really have notes for all the content as I just go through the book or videos and summarise everything. Do you think it’s a good idea to make notes after my exams in feb which will probably take the whole of March (hopefully still practising questions..) or is this a waste of my time? My school plan in finishing a content before April holidays which I is quite late 😬 my issue is that I feel kind of lost with what I should and shouldn’t do, any help?
    Some background, I do bio, maths and chem too!

    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! I think now it would be a waste of time to make notes, I would say for biology I put my notes in the A level biology video which would be helpful + biorevise is quite useful, for chemistry chemrevise is an amazing resource and it has all the notes you need and for math, use the mathbox notes ( I linked them in my maths a level video). Using these premade notes will be a much better use of time, and make sure to do A LOT of practice questions which will be very helpful in understanding the mark scheme. Good luck in your exams!☺️💪🏼

      Yes definitely 5 months is a very good amount of time! The main things to focus on right now are staying organised and making a good study plan and then sticking to it. I’d mainly recommend you focus right now on consolidating your information / notes and then do topic questions to check what you’re weak / confident in. Continue doing this until you cover all topics and then start doing practice papers and go through the same process :) let me know if you need any more help! Under my biology video I have my notion notes for bio which can be helpful, and for maths id recommend the Chemrevise notes they’re really good!

In terms of online, it depends on your subjects but I really liked Primrose Kitten Academy and Miss Estruch for Biology / Chemistry. I tried to do them strategically, throughout the year I would mainly focus on topic papers and would alternate between the different resources.
