It makes me wonder how much amazing music there could be out there because I've limited myself to English language music all my life. It's quite bewildering.
That's why since a kid I've said 'music has no language, music is itself a language' I listen to music from literally all the planet and from all languages! Since child I tend to like specially asian music a lot ^^
After this, I'd suggest you try old school latino music. My recommendations are "Los Kiriaps", "Los Gatos", "Pablo Milanez", "Serrat", and "Silvio Rodriguez" as a start. Or maybe try Brazillian music (Milton Nacimento is a favorite of mine), I dunno, the world of music is as vast as the Earth itself.
I can imagine myself as a 19 year old college student in Tokyo in the 1980's driving around in my car that my parents gave me while listening to this during a sunset as I drive from my school back to my dorm.

Chris Agatep I've found that that really depends on the type of work you're doing. That music like this is great for housework like cleaning or cooking is commonly known, but I've found it really helps when doing creative stuff too. I'm an art student and the two types of things that help me get into this mindless flow of creation are music (of almost any kind) and podcasts. In particular podcasts that tell a story such as audiobooks or people recording themselves playing tabletop role-playing games (Dungeons & Dragons or Edge of the Empire, for example) really help the creative juices flow.
Zap Gun I suppose it also depends on how much you directly understand Japanese, which would change how much you are able to focus on the lyrics. Generally, I find that this is why listening to music in other languages you don't fully understand can be relaxing, but not ones where lyrics you are able to comprehend immediately, which makes being a bit of a polyglot ironically disadvantageous with respect to relaxing though it helps with singing along to music from various cultures.

Just so you know; I found this video nearly a month ago, and it is still satisfying me multiple times per week.
Shadowdreamcast It's not great for productivity but when you're done with work and just chilling, listening to music it's so good.
Chris Agatep I've found that that really depends on the type of work you're doing. That music like this is great for housework like cleaning or cooking is commonly known, but I've found it really helps when doing creative stuff too. I'm an art student and the two types of things that help me get into this mindless flow of creation are music (of almost any kind) and podcasts. In particular podcasts that tell a story such as audiobooks or people recording themselves playing tabletop role-playing games (Dungeons & Dragons or Edge of the Empire, for example) really help the creative juices flow.
Zap Gun I suppose it also depends on how much you directly understand Japanese, which would change how much you are able to focus on the lyrics. Generally, I find that this is why listening to music in other languages you don't fully understand can be relaxing, but not ones where lyrics you are able to comprehend immediately, which makes being a bit of a polyglot ironically disadvantageous with respect to relaxing though it helps with singing along to music from various cultures.

HOW is this so BEAUTIFUL? I'm a 1983 sprout, and a lover of DnB, EDM, and heavy metal...but big band jazz has always stalked me, and then I found the film Swing Girls, and then Plastic Love slapped me in the face...and now this wonderful musical masterpiece! In this moment, I am very happy. I may not feel this way when I wake up tomorrow, but I will be able to hear this again and remember how it moved me. It's so many decades late, but thank you.
