  • Continuing my "What's In My Bag" series, this is the new Wotancraft 3.5L camera sling bag. This is one of the smallest camera bags I have, but it has a trick up its sleeve: Modules! Yes, the entire Pilot Series can accept add-on modules via military-style molle straps. The 3.5L Pilot has molle connections on both sides as well as the front. Check out how I fill up and fill out this new camera sling bag from Wotancraft.

    I have both 3.5 and 7l bags and I like them (especially smaller one), but I had to remove small beautiful leather Wotancraft logo on the back side of bag as it broke my nice Rab jacket and several expensive t-shirts... a flat back side of bag without this little logo works better if you want to save your clothes from scratches or scuffs.

      I'll pass on message to Wotancraft about the leather patch on the back! Glad you were able to remove it though

    Love my 10L Think Tank retrospective. 3 Go Pros with two car mounts and small tripod. Also takes my my DJI Air2S. spare batteries and controller. Room for a small Vlog mirrorless. My other walk around kit is a Nikon DSLR with the 24-70 and a Flash and trigger. Tired of packing and unpacking so I am leaning a second bag. Either 5 or 7L . Shopping brands ATM but I just love the look of this bag.

    Nice to just have a smaller bag(s) for around town, sometimes you just don't need to carry every piece of camera gear you own, LOL like I was doing when I was a working photographer at one time time I think I was carrying close to 12kg of gear in my backpack, thank goodness I went mirrorless.

      I remember those old days. Sure we didn’t have to carry chargers and 3x more batteries, but we had to carry film, and SLRs were heavy. On my honeymoon I had 3 cameras and 3 lenses, including a 200mm f/2.8. My back hurts thinking about it!!

      Before I went Mirrorless I was using a Canon 7D mkII with a 18-135 for some work three other lenses a 24mm,35mm 50mm I also had that wonderful 24-70 zoom , plus a SL2 for video work I kept the kit lens on that I think it was an 18-55 , both only shot in 1080p. plus batteries, power bank, filters, Microphone and sometimes a laptop, tablet and tripod.
      You're right my back is hurting thinking about that and I wore all that stuff while riding a motorcycle to my gigs.

    My new Wotancraft Pilot 3.5L has arrived (took 1 week to arrive in the UK - with no customs duties)
    For those interested, it fits my a7R5 with the following lenses:
    1) Sigma 14-24mm 2.8, camera face down
    2) Tamron 28-200mm, camera face down or lying on the side
    3) Any combination of the 20-70 or 20mm or 85mm with 1 lens on the camera and 1 on the side
    1) and 2) with space for the 20-70 f4 or 20mm 1.8 or 85mm 1.8 on the side using the divider provided with the bag.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Take. I was wondering about your thoughts on storing & carrying the following camera body and four prime lenses using Wotancraft's 3.5 L sling bag.
    1x Fujifilm X-T5;
    1x XF 18 mm F1.4 lens;
    1x XF 23 mm F1.4 lens (type 2);
    1x XF 33 mm F1.4 lens;
    1x XF 56 mm F1.2 lens (type 2);
    Although, the hobbit travel pouches from Wotancraft was not reviewed in your video. I was wondering, would either the xs or s sized versions of these hobbit travel pouches able to store these prime lenses individually?
    All the best to you and camera girl from Perth, Western Australia.

      If the X-T5 and one of the lenses are around your neck on a strap, then the 3.5L might be okay. But everything in the bag, including the body, it won't fit. I would move up to the 7L Pilot. I will suggest to Wotancraft that maybe they need to make a 5L Pilot. It's a big jump from 3.5 to 7L.

    I like the size of this Wotancraft for a minimal carry & love that locking mechanism. In the heat of SE Asia & as I getting older I find myself looking for more minimal solutions for carrying my gear & accessories, the Chrome Mini Kadet you showcased is a good example amazing what I can fit in such a small package. Trouble is as I get good at it my bigger bags are becoming redundant 😁.

      True. Even my watches are getting smaller. 36-38mm versus 40mm for years 😅😅😅

    LOVE all your videos - its always varied, always different and always interesting! I was curious about the 3.5L Wotancraft bag so this was a timely video. Huge shout out to Camera Girl (she doesn’t get enough applause and accolades) for filming! You guys are fantastic! Happy Holidays everyone!

      Thanks! Yes 3.5L seems weird, but when you pack it out and add modules, it’s more useful than it appears. Camera Girl appreciates the shout out ❤❤❤

    Just got mine in the mail. Absolutely disagree with the majority of these reviews. 99$ ish for these things? Nonsense. Should be $30.00, but who's going to ship it back to Taiwan..? I t would be worth $30. There's nothing special about the materials, it's run of the mill, middle of the road quality. A bit disappointed I couldn't find a TH-cam review which discussed the true essence of this bag.
