You’ve got to feel sorry for him. He’s inherited a shower of shite from Glass, and he’s suffered since coming in. He’s made some big calls already in regard to the players and that’s good to see a manager that has balls and doesn’t settle for guys being here just to pick up a wage. Next season can only get better and hopefully with smart additions in the summer Goodwin can truly show what a good, young, talented manager he is.

Far too many players today scared to go for the ball, both on the ground and in the air. So many times the ball was in the air end-to-end and players would not even attempt to head it on or take it down they just wait for it to bounce off the deck over their heads. There is a severe lack of bravery in this squad.
Half the squad needs to get shifted on. Not good enough. County should have had a penalty a few minutes before anyway. They deserved to win 2-0 not 1-0. This squad have time and time again shown this season that most of them aren’t good enough. The Director of Football Steven Gunn failed in recruitment, Stephen Glass failed to create the necessary club culture, especially in defence which has been as bad this season as I’ve seen since Ebbe Skovdahl, and now Goodwin comes in as hatchet man. I feel sorry for Jim Goodwin at this time, and I actually regret sticking up for some of these players through the season as well. The attitude of this team is not an Aberdeen attitude, they aren’t playing for the jersey, they aren’t switched on, they aren’t hungry for it. Today summed up the season for me and when European qualification potentially was there for them just to win against Ross County at home they bottle it again. It was the last chance saloon and they bottled it, so Jim Goodwin needs to do at least a 50% rebuild because whatever happened under Stephen Glass was basically wrong. As Goodwin says ‘they gave everything’ but they’re also ‘not good enough’, which means we’re paying a whole lot of wage thieves when Dave Cormack said Steven Gunn’s job was to buy strong value with unique knowledge. I back the club strategy but delivery on that strategy has been an embarrassment to it this season.
Thank you Mr Goodwin. I'm very satisfied with the season we've had. For too long we were simply punching above our weight but now we are playing more at a standard expected of Aberdeen. I'd be very happy with the same next season.
Is there any chance we can not sack our most consistent player of the last 10 years ? Andrew Considine is a massive loss to the team, club and community. Cormack has sacked Derek McInnes who is the most consistent manager in my living memory, sacked the most consistent player and we are in the bottom six! What is Cormack doing?

Nobody should judge Goodwin until at least the end of next season. However, his comment about the players hurting as much as the fans is rather concerning as this current group of players have had plenty time to do something about it, but couldn't be bothered, even today. Especially today. The fans paid money to see us lose, the players get paid (way more than Raith or Ross county) to let us lose. I know who is hurting more and it's not the wage thieves. The money spent on Cormack Park also seems like a waste of money too. I was glad it was built at the time but it doesnt seem to have improved anything.
