How to: Infiniti G37 Possible Repair for SLIP, VDC OFF, ABS Warning lights on (Caused by Corrosion)

- Troubleshooting the multiple warning lights on a 2008 Infiniti G37.
Before replacing any parts, try the fuse trick and Brake switch reconnection first. Corrosion sometimes cause the connection to be bad and result in warning lights.

For me it was the wheel speed sensor on right front.. took it out cleaned put back and its good

Same thing happened to my car but it was also in limp mode and wouldn’t accelerate past 40mph unless going down hill, would this still fix?
Hello. You might a bigger issue in your case. It seems that the cause of your limp mode is disabling your abs system, and not the other way around. Please have the vehicle scanned for codes before anything else breaks. Sorry, I could not help. Thank you for watching! - Rjeff H2H

Try replacing the switch it might be bad
Ya until drive a couple feet and it come right back on 🤦🏻♂️. Mine clears everytime I turn the car off and back on. I know it’s the front right wheel speed sensor.
Hello. As mentioned, it is just one of the possible solutions for this issue. If you have a low brake fluid, abs sensor issue and or abs tone ring issue, this will not fix your problem. This is for those who had water intrusion and moisture in the cabin that causes the fuses to corrode and lose contact. Just a simple test and some basic troubleshooting. .....and did the VDC Slip lights come back on? what is the update? Did it stay fixed?
Hello. On our G37, it stayed off. Never had an issue again after that. If yours turn on immediately after startup, then it might be a wiring issue. But if it only turns on when you start moving the car, then either on of your abs sensor is bad, or there is an issue with you wheel hub assembly.
But just to cover all the bases, check maybe your are just low on brake fluid. Who knows, it may be as simple as that. Thanks for asking! -Rjeff H2H
Will this cause you to fail emissions?
If engine light on yes have someone hookup a OBD2 reader and check the monitors and see if it passed engine check and emissions monitor if so then yes it should pass if not you'll have to fix all the issues with the car and the codes 😂

I found the fix on mines was to put the brake fluid back to max level
Mines is on the minimum level was yours at the same ? And to change it did you flush out the old fluid and fill it up with the new brake fluid?

Do u know If this will solve the issue I don’t have the abs light but I changed my steering wheel because the other one was damaged and after changing it the vdc off and slip came on even after I got a wheel alignment
Hello. In your case, you might have damaged the steering wheel wires. When you installed the new steering wheel, did you do the proper procedure to install the wheel wiring harness? I haven’t done it on a G37, but on an Audi, when the steering wheel harness is broken due to not following the steering turn count process, the abs light is on and disables the abs and airbag system. You might have to check the steering wheel wires before it accidentally triggers the airbag due to wire malfunction. Sorry I could not help -Rjeff H2H

@@iceicebaby4217 Hello. Sorry if it sound redundant, but did you check maybe your brake fluid is low? Also the brake pads. If you have a scanner with live feed, check if all your abs sensors are working.
Also, just to add, see if you brake lights work when hitting the brakes. If not, it could also be the brake switch. Hope this information helps. Good luck! - Rjeff H2H

@@jaygotta40 Hello. Yes, that’s what I did to fix our car. There was corrosion on the contacts on the fuse area that causing the issue. Re-seating the fuse fixed it. -Rjeff H2H
Lol it always resets itself.. Drive it 5 minutes down the road and will come back...
Hello. If it comes back after driving for 5 minutes on your car, then you have to check (in no order) low brake fluid, abs sensor, brake sensor/brake pad, and rotors and brake switch. Ours was caused by corrosion on the fuse contacts. And after this video, it has not returned, which is why we don’t have a better video. When I did this, I honestly didn’t think it was going to work.
