    Their unconvetional warfare tactics definitely not from US sf. Filipino SF are naturally expert in unconvetional warfare. infact, they teach americans about their techniques and experties

      +Mave Delano (MaveZilLa) its actually a give and take US shares urban techniques and tactics while the Ph shares jungle survival tactics and techniques as well as mutual cooperation during joint operations.

    This captured my heart. I have family members now that are Filipino and I stumbled across this and it made me so proud. I especially loved the "line only two things fall from heaven mana from heaven and Airborne soldiers." Coming from an Airborne legacy myself it made me smile. And to show the why behind the each soldier made me see the human side. Great Job.

    @Literarycat8 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Thanks for posting this video, GN. I'm surprised you even have this! I've been around this types of guys back here, and what's truly remarkable is that for them, there's no glory-seeking in it, or movie deals--they do this to serve the Philippines. Just my two cents--any person who serves in uniform make sacrifices, whether they're SF or regular infantry. At the end of the day, when smoke from the battle clears, the color of everyone's blood is the same.

  • @Rakadis

    These must be some of the finest jungle fighters in the world. I wonder how they would fare in the Arctic or Boreal forest, I would much like to meet them and talk with them. Respect from Norway.

    • @EvLSpectre
      @EvLSpectre 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Notrollhere I am not sure of the climate in those two regions, but as for forest fighting, they are born and raised, atleast a majority, in their dense, thick, humid forest areas. Must be extremely effective fighters in their homeland, but for a more arctic area, maybe not as much so.

    • @BernyAV
      @BernyAV 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Notrollhere, Jordan Mok Gee, I don't know. The closest thing we have to a boreal forest is a thin stand of pine trees in Baguio. Oh and we have no winter here, just wet/ humid and hot/ humid i e, soak and boil weather. Lol ;)
      But if you guys really want to know how our soldiers would do in freezing weather, check out what out PEFTOK (Philippine Expeditionary Forces to Korea) Battalion Combat Teams did during the Korean war. Take special note that coming from a tropical country, none of them even saw snow before and they had no cold weather gear (promised but not given by the UN) to boot. :)

    • @BernyAV
      @BernyAV 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alejandro Rivera Sadly there are not that much historical info about the exploits of our soldiers. None are taught in our schools other than the Katipunan.

    • @Literarycat8
      @Literarycat8 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Notrollhere Sir, I've had the privilege to learn from some of our best soldiers, as a Philippine Air Force Reservist. I can tell you right now that with little to no supplies, these men can live off the land, and use their surrounding to their advantage to defeat our enemies. But where we thrive in the humid thick jungle, I'm sure we won't fare as well in the colder climates. I do hope you'll meet one of these brave men someday. Oh, the stories they'll tell you. Stuff of legend. Just my two cents, sir. :)

    "Give me 10,000 Filipinos and I will conquer the world." - Gen. Douglas MacArthur
    I am a Filipino and I really admire our soldiers. The Philippine Scout Rangers is officially titled the First Scout Ranger Regimen. Filipino soldiers are among the bravest soldiers in the world. In in spite of their lack of advanced weaponry, they are still willing and determined to fight to the last man with all their skills and tactics in jungle warfare. But if these soldiers are well-equipped with advanced weapons and military gadgets, for sure Gen. MacArthur is right.

      moonbeam Wow. You are so ignorant. Before you mouth off, I suggest delving a little deeper into world history and see why the forces that shaped the world turned out that way, and why things are the way they are now. You're espousing hatred radicalism in your pitiful efforts to 'fight' for the rights of the 'abused', and to condemn anyone who's in government. Perhaps you've been brainwashed into thinking that those who serve are the enemies. Really?

    Many of these guys come from very poor backgrounds and are used to or thrive in adversity. They are very used to living off the land and know the environment like the lines of their palms. Many of them come from the remotest regions, where they grew up far from metropolis civilization. Many of them have nothing to prove to show how good they are with the work that they do. Which is magnified by the meager equipment that they are poorly issued with. Yet they are very effective nonetheless. We salute you brave warriors! Kick-butt but keep safe! God bless!
