Hey up imp_1014, I have rode it a few times 🤭 and been doing this for three years now, so should be able to keep it up , thanks for watching and dropping a comment much appreciated, do ride lanes ?
Not wanting to cause any agro but how do we know such signs are genuine and who put them up, OK the ones in this video look official but can we check on any sites (local council etc) to check on their authenticity and that it's not just disgruntled farmers or walking groups that have erected them?
Hey up Micky, there are lots of ways to do that, your council has a map that shows all byways open or closed, you could join the TRF the green lane map is updated with that information, hope this helps, ride safe, Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 I'm already a member of the TRF, to be honest I find the Green Lanes Map to be of little use. I'm 64 now riding a 1200 GS, a big heavy bike so I have to be a little selective about the trails I go down and the GLM give no details as to difficulty of any trails; it just tells you where they are.
@@mickemmett6828 you may find if you get your self a small off road bike you would have more fun and learn faster than trying to take the GS 🤔, Id ride one off road, but it's the picking it up that stops me, you'd feel better with a more practical bike 😉, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Hey up Ogasi, it's always worth a run up, guess you may be local to it also ?, thanks for watching and dropping a comment much appreciated, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Great video as usual . Press stud will fix you hand warmers. How do you like the 350 exc ?I am thinking of getting one or Gas Gas - Husky depending on what turns up . I had a 450 and then a WR 250 .
Hey up Simon, there's another tool I could buy 😁, the 350 is a great bike, I have one for sale if you're looking 🤔, it's a great bike, I came from a wr250 then the 350, they are a good bike , thanks for watching and dropping a comment much appreciated, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Hi Si, another great vid, love the views. Do you get much damage to ya wheels? Hope to get my front wheel back Monday after a new rim and spokes. Mind you my KLR was part of the Flying gunners display team. Perhaps my new rim will take a bit more stick. Ride safe
Find some remote wilderness and get yourself out there. Some regulations you have to stick two fingers up at, as long as no one's being inconvenienced, no one's suffering a loss and you're not doing damage (like not making ruts).
Just got rid of my KTM 250 - all these closed lanes. It’s pointless. There’s nowhere to go, and I can see even what’s left being shut soon. On the upside I bought an electric mountain bike a few years ago so can get on trails with that, do bike parks etc.
Hey up, it's not all that doom and gloom really, up in the lakes that haven't closed a lane down for 30 years, and we have the national trust to contend with 😲, there are great organisations out there fighting to keep them open 😁, as for the EMTB I can agree on that I bought one last year, awesome 😎, thanks for watching and dropping a comment, much appreciated, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Unfortunately massive 4x4’s are destroying green lanes, been stuck a few times behind morons who think they’re off-road gods but just churn up and destroy tracks
Hey up Barry, just to clarify, these aren't paths, they are roads without tarmac, we don't frighten dogs or startle walkers, we ride respectfully, there may be a small few that do the things that you say, please don't tar us all with the same brush 😉, thanks for watching tho and helping to the algorithm of TH-cam, many thanks , ride safe, Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1well done I’m not tarring all riders (I’m a rider myself)but I live on a nature reserve and had run in with a few riders disrespecting everyone wanting a nice walk, birdwatching and fishing
Another great video si like that lane not been up to the end so will be having a little bit of that I think 💪
Hey up Al, I'll take you next time you are down, thanks for watching, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Nice video Simon and keeping a good pace up there , made it look easy👌🏻

Hey up Terry, in the three years I've been doing lanes, I haven't had a wheel damaged, maybe the tyres that protect the rims, ride safe, Simon B 😎
I still struggle that we can't go hardly anywhere off road up here in Scotland.
Hey up John, it is a shame that you can't, you could always move 😉, thanks for watching and dropping a comment, much appreciated, ride safe, Simon B 😎
There is enough wilderness up there to not disturb anyone nor be seen - you just have to do it and be done, yes i know before you say it

Hey up Neil, it doesn't help, the worst thing it's water, that's doing the most damage, do you ride the lanes ?
@@SIMONB1 mainly Peak District, South Yorkshire, not as rocky as round the lakes but plenty of mud
