- How to record video without LED on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses 2024. You need to understand this trick to use it all the time. Works with all updates even with V3
RayBan Meta glasses are saying : "The Capture LED is blocked, unblock to use the camera."
"Make sure that capture LED is visible" The light on the front of your glasses blinks to let people know that you're taking a photo or video.

Why you need to hide LED ?
1. To ensure clear and distraction-free footage from persons you are filming.
2. You are in conflict zone and any visible sign can expose you.
3. Filming pranks.
4. You are in some countries where this gadget is forbidden.
5. You are collecting evidences for court.
6. You are filming police or other special forces and don't want to be discovered.

Yes, this is the ultimate solution. Look for a decorative gem and stick on the LED location. Now I can record my son in the public without the stupid blinking led on my face. By the way, don’t upgrade to v3 and beyond - now I can’t seem to lower the audio level of the recording ‘blink’ sound.

Just won a pair - pretty amazing - they also translated whatever I was looking at (English/Italian/Spanish/French/German) - was able to answer a math problem I wrote down - v6 update now allows 3min vids 😎

@@gedis080 no firmware version is not written on glasses. you can ask owner to go to meta app > choose your glasses > Glasses & privacy -> You glasses -> Updates -> and there will be version. right now mine have 5.1 Version

Can you just voice command: "Meta start recording" or do you have to physically tap the record button?
yes you can, but it will response as the same as button pressing. if blocked LED, no recording.
