      I would love to know how you came by the "Star Wars Blaster" grade body hammers. Yeah, I know it's just the effect you get when the mic input gets saturated combined with a 44kHz digital audio sampling rate, but it still sounds cool anyway.

      don't know if will be of any use over there, but a few years ago i picked up for pennies at a junk sale some shoe makers dollys, the type you slipped the leather upper over and then nailed on the the leather soles to the shoe, you would be surprised how useful they can be for making nice tight rolled edges etc and can be locked into a vise or even just dropped into a square hole in ya bench, still loving your work mate :)

      I couldn't agree more. If I had nice 60 Fury parts I'd be more than happy to donate them.....but sadly I never really paid attention to them until this series gave me such an appreciation for them. Now 70-81 Trans Ams ....those I have hundreds of parts for. 😂

    Something that Scott said about the value of the Fury ( in regards to the quality of the parts that have been donated ). The overt value of the car may NOT be that great, however, I believe that the true value of the car is in the craftsmanship and dedication that has gone into repairing this relic from a bygone age. The value lies in the soul of the project. There’s not a lot of stuff out there with the kind of soul that this car has. Your dedication, Scott, to the completion of the project is a joy to behold! I marvel at the accomplishments you and your crew of agents have wrought upon this poor shell of a car ( a carcass that was so rusty, it wouldn’t cast a shadow! ). Thank you for what you do, and for making the world just a bit better ( let’s call it a “ level 2 tidy “ ) .

    Oy! I fell upon your channel when friends/family were fading and dying. I've gotten caught up in the Fury project as a happy relief from being sad. Because, although fifties cars may have been mechanically inefficient, they are heart breakingly optimistic in their style. I was (almost) tearfully happy to see your Plymouth rise from a melted sugar cube to a stunning, Palm Springs, cantilevered, dream mobile......

    • @dennissmith5037
      @dennissmith5037 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jeff I agree the Plymouth Fury is becoming a very nice car, but I am not sure cantilevered would be a good way to describe it. Cantilevers hold up a surface or room without themselves being supported at their outer end. Many outdoor balconies are cantilevered, and theater balconies may be as well.(Not trying to be a dick but thought you might have been trying to say Concours.)

    What a pleasant surprise to see the Fury getting more shiny bits added. The complicated and ahead of it's time Citroen being painted and re assembled has been a bonus delicacy that seems overlooked, deserving a whole video series in itself, as well as that Boogie van...He should leave the panels uncut, no porthole, hearts, teardrops, being it is now so rare, but that's what everyone did back then. My Dad did some far - out stuff to them, and it was pretty boss.

This show is about a regular Joe, as it were, who is exceptionally talented, his buddies and their extraordinary love of classic cars and machinery in general. Many viewers are from the generation of all new all prefabricated bolt one. CWM is from the era of build and repair what you have. My favorite show.

    Loving the Plymouth, especially the rear decklid. I have a 1960 Plymouth Fury sedan and am after a left hand side outer headlight trim ring. Mine is badly dinged up and crushed on the outer.

    Oh man.....buffing through an edge and then dropping a doob in the snow. I'd be calling it a day after that. 😂

    So much progress!! The Fury is looking great.The DS is looking more like a car. A Datsun 2000???? Thats so cool!! Its amazing how quickly the DS trunk lid straightened out (it looked like it would be hours not minutes!)

    Oh boy! Seeing the spare tire cover go on the trunk really hit home how far everything has come now. That is one hell of a car there. Happy Easter everyone!

    I’m so impressed at the level of quality you guys put out in your home garages, and sticking through a build like this, once u saw all that trim I don’t think I’d have the heart to do it. Truly a labor of love
