I've met heavy-metal fans who loved this song. You'd never think they'd get into disco, and yet... there's something timeless about it, sheer joy and energy. "Dancing Queen" is known the world over, and will live forever.

I grew up with all the fabulous music from the 60's - 80's. ABBA was one of my favorites. They had lots of hits & I owned many of their albums. I can't think of a bad song by them. Some of their best are "Thank You For The Music", "Does Your Mother Know?", "Waterloo", "Money, Money, Money", "The Name Of The Game", "Super Trouper", "I Have A Dream", "Voulez-Vous", "Fernando", "Chiquitita", "Mamma Mia", "SOS", "Knowing Me, Knowing You" etc.

    Great Abba reaction, Sir!
    intelligent, articulate, spontaneous, perceptive
yeah the girls are Sublime, so beautiful, such astonishing voices
    Agnetha, Björn, Benny, Anni-Frid
    A-B-B-A
Björn (guitar) & Benny (keyboards) wrote the songs
Agnetha (pronounced Ann-yetta) the blonde soprano
Anni-Frid (known as Frida) the brunette mezzo
But...when their individually superb voices were combined, created what is known as Abba's Third Voice - their secret weapon

It’s hard to believe any adult hasn’t heard ABBA sometime!
Have you heard of the Broadway musical, Mama Mia? It’s based on ABBA songs.
My favorite ABBA song is Waterloo.
Just now I was fixing lunch and had to stop so I could dance around the kitchen.
I love seeing young people raving about music from way back. I go even farther back because I turned 79 last month. There is an unending supply of fabulous music from the 50s on. Dig in!

Rod Stewart at some point said that Dancing Queen was the ultimate disco song, that it could not be topped, and many DJs have said this is a goto song when you want to fill the dance floor. Benny Andersson is a fantastic self taught piano player, equally great at any kind of keyboard, including the accordion… He has actually released an album where he performs several of his songs, including many old ABBA hits on just the piano - and they still sound fantastic!

    "Dancing Queen" (1976)
is a beautiful song, a fantastic Masterpiece,
which shines in the loftiness of its vocal harmonies
the blonde singer Agnetha is soprano voice,
the brunette singer Frida is mezzo soprano voice,
and blending together made the famous and fantastic 'third voice of ABBA'
And the music is bright and enveloping,
from the initial chord it introduces you into the atmosphere of the disco
    and invites you to dance
English public has voted it as one of the songs they want to hear the most,
because of the feeling of joy and energy it gives them (another is "Don't stop me now" by Queen)
And in 2015 "Dancing Queen" was included in the Hall of Fame of Grammys awards music
ABBA begin to be famous in 1974, when They won the Eurovision Song Contest in UK
    with their iconic song "Waterloo"
these is the link of the live perfomance, that I suggest you to a next reaction

Check out Luv in Hotpants. A different group from Europe. I've was able to go to two concerts while stationed in Germany, one was ABBA, the other was Luv.

A great feel good and dancing song that gets my feet tapping and me singing whenever I hear it... most Abba songs, but also Walking on sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.
