    Nicely put together review. One point i should mention, in the 1 litre boil test , if you use a wind shield ( or inside etc), and a container with a larger bottom surface area , it boils much quicker ( 9-10 mins)

      Butane stoves generate carbon monoxide (the invisible, odourless killer gas) so should NEVER be used indoors, whether a house,tent or vehicle unless there is a huge amount of ventilation. I think this is important to note as many people have died from simply not knowing this very real danger! The Campingaz Bistro 2 is a solid affordable stove and well worth the money, just please use it responsibly.

    A liter of water using canister of the same company boils in exactly 5 minutes 15 seconds, as stated in the instructions. convenient, compact, works. thin metal

      That depends on the stove, surely? Micro Bleuet is 1300w, Bleuet 470HP is 3000w

    You can boil 1 liter of water in 10 min If you want to make scrambled eggs, you can do it in 4 minuteI really recommend the equipment that is compact and eaysy to use so if you are looking for a quick solution for camping cooking 😁 it is cheap and reliable in a tent

    I use one of these fishing I've had it 7years its rusty the paint is flaking off but it never misses a beat, its not compact but has a carry case and spare canisters are easily stored in with my gear, the only problem fishing is it not too cool for school but that didn't stop one of its slaters borrowing it when his does what no other stove has done before packed up

    Use wider plan with a lid

    The boil test was a fail because the hot point of the flame is not even under the mug, you are just wasting gas this way. You have to put on a container large enough for the flame to be AT LEAST 1/3 diameter from the outer rim to ensure better heat transfer

    Sorry but you can't compare heating time like this. The fire is really smaller on your test comparison. You should try with a larger cooker because the diameter of the camping gaz is larger. I think you lost lots of heating power "around' the cooker...

      Nothing to be sorry about at all, in fact I shall be revisiting this review with a part 2 as the gas used was a cheap one as stated in the video which made the flames small. I have since tested with campingaz official gas and a wider pot and the times have exceeded my expectations. Thanks for the comment however critical 👍

    Literally just bought the Bistro 3. They must of taken your comment on the door compartment to heart. Bistro 3 door opens the reverse to the one you demonstrate in the video. How long do the canisters of gas tend to last, please?

    Do you think it would be possible to remove the top section for cleaning if you removed bolts or something. I have an older bistro2 which is removable.

    Just recently bought one and after 1 use the next time there was zero flame, there was still heat but no visable flame. Any idea's the problem? Cheers for any help

    Boiling speeds up 2x when using a lid.

    Is it quite heavy? It is a pain that it didn't boil the water properly.

    My burner flame reduces exactly like that. It's done it on at least 8 original campingaz cartridges, and now on a 3rd party gas canister. Does anyone know why? Thanks.

    • @ray076NL
      @ray076NL ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pressure inside the canister reduces when using the stove.

    • @alanjackson2540
      @alanjackson2540 ปีที่แล้ว

      recently found if you take out the canister, shake it slightly, and put it back in you get full flame for a short period. This repeat method is useful if you're out camping and really need that morning coffee.@@ray076NL

    Sorry, I don't have much experience with this. Can you safely transport a half-full gas can in the car after use?

    I didn't understand the bit about the notch at the top of the cannister as the video didn't mention that. Otherwise it was a good video

      I have one. The bit is for alignment with the stove.

    On the Amazon reviews the equipment can melt and if you use a gas canister without a CRV safety logo it could explode into a fireball. I wouldn't used inside a house due to risk of explosion. Don't use a pot that is too big for the equipment as it heats it too much. These gas canisters without CRV should be banned.
