Chevy and their 60's and 70's Caprices, Impalas and Biscaynes.... those were the days.... please bring these cars back into production.... everybody wins if they do.

@Mike Wilhelmson Chevy silverado and Gmc Sierra are the best looking trucks in my opinion. Ram second. Fuck Ford. Biggest pos I've ever drove.

We could fit three guys in the trunk to try to get in the movies. They kicked us out but let us back in when all five of us came back in and payed. The woman at the booth cracked up a little. Us two up front had to pay twice! But both sides knew that the drive-in was the only place to party without getting busted. We were well behaved, because we just wanted to drink our quarts and smoke our joints. The extra 500 lbs in the trunk made the back ride low and gave us away. I went there to see Blazing Saddles three times but passed out and didn't see it until it came out on video. Querky but funny detail: We really thought we were gonna get away with it, because the guys in the trunk wouldn't have to get out through the trunk. All they had to do was push the back seat forward to get in. A bit clumsy but worked. Or would have. The drive-in manager had binoculars.

You seem to have nice cars. My question is why can you not fix the simple fixes, like wiper blades tail light out or non working horn. I watch your video's and I can't help to think how much better selling points it is when little things are fixed instead of...horn doesn't work. the tail light is out the nob is missing ? I appreciate the honesty, I just don't understand not fixing minor stuff ?

Not really talking about this car but just seems like a lot of the nice old hot rods I see are very close to being completed and some much more than others but most all have what I would call simple electrical issues that someone with just good basic 12V skills could sort out in a few hours to a few days. Just seems strange that the electrical is what seems to kinda come last on most builds. I use to troubleshoot & diagnose electrical issues in semi trucks & trailers as well as completely rewiring a decent number of boats & hot rods so maybe it’s just me being familiar and hate anything short of correct & neat wiring on my cars or someone else’s. I’ve seen many old hotrods that were a mess under the dash & hood but ended up better than factory when I finished, all soldered, sealed, zip tied and covered with clear shrink anywhere 2 or more wires come together and run front, back or thru the firewall just to add another layer of protection against chaffing. Just seems like such a small piece of the work for such great gains when all the electrical works great on an old hot rod. Nick has some beautiful rides for sure, hope to get by there one day. I purchased a 67 SS Chevelle, 327, 4-speed for my first car when I was 17 and I was hooked, I’ve always had a nice fast hot rod for 41yrs now since that day.👍

Big Wheel Yeah I’ve seen the same as you mention here. However since someone has installed an engine & tranny and got those parts working in these cars as well as fairly new paint you would think sorting out the electrical would get done but that isn’t the case. I can’t remember exactly which car Nick was showing a few days ago but the only thing on the entire dash that worked was the turn signals & gas gauge, all the other switches & gauges needed some work. I just find it odd that the electrical wasn’t a priority since it’s pretty easy work, just takes a little time.

Could it be that the previous owner met with some sort of personal disaster, like a major health crash? That can easily put an end to hobbies, no matter how close you are to finishing something, when it's hard to now wipe your own nose, you don't worry about the wipers working on your classic. You, or your executor, dump it.

They probably put the carpet on the dash to preserve it or to stop the sun from reflecting in it blinding them..... my guess anyway...

Thats a good way to think of it , That’s probably what they did. I figured they put it to preserve the dash
