      Japanese people are also likely yo move away from you on the train/subway when possible. (Can be both good and bad i suppose. Might get more space but its more likely that youll just end up being indirectly insulted without the bonus space)

It even starts from the airport when you hop on a taxi. They charge you so much for not a long ride. I’ve been to that palace several times, if you are new to Bangkok and visiting the palace area. Im gonna be real here. We (Thais) never miss a chance to overcharge foreigners or so I presume, but we're definitely no strangers to pulling petty tricks to swindle more money out of them more than what otherwise is a lower going-rate among ourselves . The sad truth about tourism is, for all the benefits of excessive-charging, it is indeed realistically an effectual jump start for economy after COVID so it makes sense for these bad mishaps to continue. On any occasion, just don't be so stupid as to purchase services a sensible person would know can cost hefty, in that, after they are rendered, refund is not possiblr

    • @Yamin-zo1bm
      @Yamin-zo1bm ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@nuefah1150 maybe the tourists quit and then you will lose even the fair price. This isn't moral behavior. A tourist already come to spend money but when he feels that he would be tricked he will be conservative meaning that his spending will decrease. Eventually which happens to previous hotspots tourists felt they aren't safe there meaning no visit there at all. I very respect Thais but you should accept my critique and communicate it with your people. You could steal him but he will turn to be conservative = low spending than expected = less cash inflow to the Thai economy.

I didn't buy anything but I noticed how all the employees looked at me in kind of a pitying way. Not to mention the staff lie to you. My girlfriend was wearing a top that was slightly showing her belly, and we were advised at the entrance to cover it (we had a shawl, so we covered it) and the lady said it was fine as long as we covered it. Then we headed onto the ticket counter and asked if the shawl covering her belly was acceptable before purchasing our tickets and were answered with a resounding yes. Tickets bought, off to the cafe for a bottle of water and into the palace we go. Right before entering the palace (where they check your wristbands) a few lady guards stopped us and rudely told us to leave as they pulled the shawl covering my gf belly. They then said to either buy a t shirt and pants (she was wearing a long skirt) or we would not be allowed entry to the palace. The whole thing was so scummy and upsetting. An unfortunate blip on our pretty fun trip

They make only 1 get out and use a walk up ATM and keep the others in the pedicab.
