The painting would look beautiful behind your 2 chairs in your new bedroom. What a statement piece!! I love unique pieces. I don't want things from Hobby Lobby!
Karen could those lamps be what you have been looking for for your living room? I know you broke down and bought some but these are magnificent. You could sell the ones you bought and keep these lamps! Wow 😊
That piece of art is so gorgeous. Love it! How cute of Roger saying that childhood couple was you both,. Awwe 💕💕 Looks like on this thrift trip, less is more. Awesome purchases! Oh, I like your Costco closet. All kinds of room.
Hi Karen, I am an artist...and was an Art Teacher. That Large piece reminds me of some of Walter Graham's Artwork. Landscape Painter...To be honest, there would most likely be a signature if you took the Piece out of the Frame. What a Beautiful Piece!! You have a great 👀 eye!
Wow, Karen! I am with you, the painting is stunning. I don’t think I could part with it, although I have no where to put it. The lamps are also stunning. Are you going to keep them for your living room & sell the other ones? That’s what I would be doing! I am always upgrading my things. Thank you for sharing, Karen. It’s always so exciting watching you find such amazing things! xo
Those lamps stopped me in my track. Those are stunning. And I don't think I have ever seen you as excited over an object as you were over the large art piece. Great finds -happy for you.
Very nice lamps of quality. I would keep them. Also the large canyon painting is awesome; looks nice in your own home, and something you both picked up together❤️. Love the cat nap inn one too. If you don't keep it, it should sell fast. Karen and Roger, we need more of the two of you thrifting together. Enjoy the fun and genuine laughter that's contagious. ❤️ 😍 💖
The painting is stunning and the colours are so vibrant. It looks so effective against your white wall. I love picking up artwork and I am lucky that I have been able to find a number of originals and vintage prints. Now I'm running out of wall space to hang them!!! 😶
The large piece of artwork is gorgeous. The colors are beautiful. I definitely think you should keep it. The wall you displayed it on in you house is a perfect location. Too bad there is a door behind it, lol!
Karen- it’s important to remember that YOU are not your buyer. I collect Rae Dunn and pay $8-10 shipping all day long for single items I want. I would NOT buy two of the same item if I only want 1. Even if it makes a little more sense for the shipping cost. It is what it is and YOUR buyers accept that. :)
The rug seems to be Gashgai or luri pattern Persian hand knoted rug. Each provinve or town in Iran have their unique pattern. Worth thousands of dollars at least $3000 or $4000 if you buy from Persian carpet shop. The little damage on the side can be easily fixed.
I love your channel. I get frustrated that you recommend something, then back track with 'what do I l know?' Stand by your guns. You have a good instinct on items. Don't second guess items
Maybe that odd shaped basket could be for kindling wood by a fireplace? That's what came first to mind for me. I love the painting Karen, it is stunning and looks like the Grand Canyon
That flower dish from England is worth 100 dollars on google lens. I loved the shopping trip actually I am jealous of your finds today. I could wake up an look at the view of the big painting everyday just beautiful. god bless thank you for your video's.
Reason the Tusks on Elephants are removed, is if Ivory is against the law to be shipped across State Lines. So many do buy the Antique Elephants anyway. Alaskan Ivory must be from Eskimos an or Indigenous American Natives from Alaska. The large painting is taken of the Hopi Pueblos Canyons after all the Canyons are not The Grand Canyon.
That giant painting is gorgeous! It reminds me of 1930s style - Georgia O'Keefe, Thomas Hart Benton, etc. You might want to check out Thomas Cole and Maynard Dixon.
I absolutely love your channel! My daughter and I started selling on EBay 3 weeks ago! We are addicted! Question for you, how long should we hold things before we drop the price to move products?
I rarely drop prices unless it has been listed several months. I use best offer and “drop” the price based on how bad I want to get rid of it. Some things take a while to sell.
I rarely "drop" prices but since I have an eBay store I am able to run sales. I use make offer a lot - however ebay determines when you can send those out.
1. I think the 2 of you are adorable. 2. I will say your comment in regards to wishing there were still servants felt...weird. 3. Painting was gorgeous!
Oh goodness. My stove went out. My son had some used matching kitchen appliances. I really wanted them. There was a problem with the combo microwave wall oven. The microwave was broken and could not be detached. I searched for a good wall oven. The prices were way too high. I have a brand new range in the van. Waiting for my son..
Karen, I'm looking forward to you and Roger getting the perfect booth. You could have a fabulous art wall and never have to leave behind a piece like that unique, (valuable) eagle with eaglet, and a booth will expand your margin for profit, overall. My goodness! Now you've done it. That Grand Canyon art piece .... Wow! Then those flawless lamps. I am officially envious Lol and happy for you. Rare day, rare donations. Glad you looked closely at the smalls at the store with so much fine, original artwork. You are Blessed. : )
You guys are in my neck of the woods 😱😱😱 Liberty , 2A , or as we say 2nd Ave thrift , Savers, Habitat for humanity, Restore. We have some really good ones . Loves you guys ❤️❤️❤️
My husband’s grandfather was an artist and that style of painting reminds me of the work that was done in the 1930’s. The government funded the Civilian Conservation Corp and that extended into the Arts as well as practical infrastructure programs. Anyway…it reminded me of some of the work that was done during that time. It’s stunning.
My husbands great Grandpa was also an artist of that era, and the painting Karen picked up also reminded me of some of his works. She has such a good eye.
Could it possibly be that some items are damaged by being handled by careless customers? Or maybe some items are fixable and worth fixing if purchased by the right customer.
I have bought damaged items. Not often, and not high priced though. They should have a highly discounted area for chipped/ broken collectibles for people like me 😅
So you never found a signature on that painting? You didn't want to check the back under the paper backing for an artist signature? you can always redo the paper backing. just a thought.
The Republic of Seychelles is an archipelago of 155 islands situated in the Indian Ocean, southeast of mainland Eastern Africa and Tahiti is an island in French Polynesia, in the South Pacific. About 10, 000 miles apart. Both tropical but not neighbors.
I would use those very pretty canisters without lids for planters, or vases. The closet turned out to be very useful the way you have it set up. I love going on your thrifting travels, listening to chatter about all the things.
@cindyblumenthal8315 I missed seeing the prices, but I was thinking they would have made really classy-looking utensil holders in the kitchen or containers in which to stow your makeup brushes in the bathroom... How much were they?
You're exactly right I remember watching a period pieces and the ladies would be out with that basket and cutting long stems and laying them in there. Never would have thought about that
The carpet looks too be Shiraz. A professional would have to value it, age, knots per square inch, quality etc. but nice for the $300.00 plus or whatever it was.
That was vintage Capodimonte to the right of the Aynsley flowers you were looking at. If in good shape, and a good price, quite a good pick up. I sold several pieces that we collected in Italy in 1984, when we lived there. Such a fun trip! Great eye!
That piece of art is speaking to you. Lots. Why don’t you just hang it on your wall somewhere appropriate and enjoy a quality piece, rather than just lots of production art? Elevate your decor any chance you can accomplish acquiring a luxury piece I say, especially if it excites you like that!
Karen, Let me know if you would like photos of the oil paintings I found that are very similar (almost identical in style) to yours. Same size, theme and colors. Mine are signed Anderson. Found them in a thrift in Florida and there is a signature, Anderson. I too fell madly in love with the paintings and could not get out of the store with them fast enough!
Are you going to lose your post office in your town? We are losing ours next year. Many towns are going to have to consilidate to towns as far away as 25 miles. Its all over. I,ve checked. Hoping your town will be where the hub is. If not, much more driving. How will this affect your prices for items, and the post office says to expect much longer shipping times. Fast shippers won,t be able to be as fast.
No wonder you two got married, ❤️ you guys make each other laugh so much!! 😂 Besides you two look good together! 😉
Oh my Karen, if I came across that artwork of the Grand Canyon I would put that in my house. It’s wonderful! ❤😊
Maybe you can buy it from her shop 😊
Love the large painting!!!❤ Please let us know what you do with it.

It doesn’t fit on that wall 😂

Good luck on the World Cup final! From an Argentine living in the States.

That basket we had 1 for picking flowers.😊
When you called Rodger a 60 year old man my granddaughter was watching with me and said “she looks like she’s 30”.
Tell her I love her!😂💜💜💜💜
Best episode ever!! That STUNNING painting & lamps!!
Love the high end lamps that you found today. They look like they have never been used.
Too bad there's a closet door behind that picture because that painting is perfect for that hallway! 😊
The lamps!!!!!!!
You and Roger are so adorable together!
Those lamps stopped me in my track. Those are stunning. And I don't think I have ever seen you as excited over an object as you were over the large art piece. Great finds -happy for you.
Maybe a customer broke the elephant tusk
I love you and Roger when you thrift together. ❤
They say not to touch and rub your hands on oil painting
When you were talking about the first vase I was thinking ‘please put your glasses on and see the crack’ 😂😂😂
The camera definitely magnifies the crack on film 😂 it’s much smaller in real life
Love that very large art work! Great find!
Get a pair of prescription. graduated bifocals (or trifocals) glasses and you can leave them on for most of the day.
“Liking the Aesthetic of the Cart” comment made me chuckle!

Those lamps❤
Your artwork may be on E Bay many look similar!! The basket is for gathering cut flowers! Africa...
Put that painting in your new bathroom!
Hanging original art in a bathroom will damage it 😊

At the 2A thrift store in the beginning, when you put the cracked flower vase back, you put it right next to a Blenko Owl! 🦉🧡
I checked the owl and thought it was definitely a copy

Aynsley teacups signed by J. A. Bailey.

Why do thrift stores put out damaged items??

Could it possibly be that some items are damaged by being handled by careless customers? Or maybe some items are fixable and worth fixing if purchased by the right customer.
