iPhone 11 Pro Max Restoration - Apples trying to stop DIY repair, again.

  • It seams Apple really doesn't want you to repair your own phone. With the iPhone 11 introducing more paired components than ever before, its time i tried to fix mine which has a badly cracked screen and faulty cameras.
If a manufacture is successfully able to completely lock down 3rd party repairs, what happens after they drop support for the product? Are we supposed to throw it away and buy a new one? I refuse to support that business model and will try anything to stop it from happening.
I will be sticking with my current fruit phone, from Blackberry :)

But will charge and work like normal. Then you would have to use 3utools to check battery health when and if you keep the phone long enough to need to replace the battery a second time.

I am an iPhone refurbisher too, these messages are annoying, but I inform customers of them straight away and their time scales and locations. Luckily after 4 days it moves to settings and is less annoying, hopefully they won't change this to a longer time on the lock screen. I think it's just put their so customers of local repair shops think bad of the repair shop and think they have done a bad repair or used poor parts. So I would say if you are in the repair business, informing your customers of these messages straight away is key.

Wow! That’s pretty shocking. I did know iPhones were hard to repair, but the 11 Pro Max takes it to another level...
I actually noticed the same thing with my new 16 inch MacBook Pro: I get no verity in ports whatsoever, because I’m stuck with 4 thunderbolt 3 ports. And I don’t even get a dongle in the box with my 2700€ computer! Also, the ram is soldered to the motherboard...
I think this is most annoying about Apple because I love their products and I’m very satisfied with my new laptop, but I hate the fact that their machines are no longer user upgradable. I love your videos because you show the world that we can still get our devices repaired, or even attempt it ourselves. Thanks man! Keep up the good work 💪

I still use a mac pro from 2010 got all the ports and upgradeable componants I could ever need.
If you ask me computers are getting worse.
I have a 2000 powerbook and the keybaord lifts off with two latches so users could add wifi, upgrade the ram and hdd. I believe the processor is also detectable. Beyond that it even has two removable bays on the side so you can swap out modules. You could run two batterys, a floppy drive, a zip drive or a dvd rom drive depending on what 2 you choose, and swap them out whenever.
Now, well we dont even get any ports or an SD card slot. I dont own one of those machines....
