I have the U87ai Which preamp would you recommend? Neve 1073 or Avalon? What’s the best alternative for the vintage U87? Ksm32? Thanks
@@MurnerJoel In my opinion, the Avalon is a better fit for the U87, making it sound like silk. The Neve makes an already hot mic even hotter.
EV RE20 is a good alternative option with a transformer based preamp (from a Soyuz Launcher to a Neve).
