    To buy a new motocycle is one of the greatest things in life. I bought new a Kawasaki Zephyr 750, a Kawa W 800, a Triumph T100 and a Harley Davidson Low Rider - and every time it was pure happyness. New year, perhaps, there will follow the next change - who knows...life is short, take the bull by the horns...

    Twin shocks require the subframe to be beefy enough to support the rear wheel action, which creates this big bending lever around the subframe connection to the main frame. Link-type mono-shock rear suspension where the shock is mounted to the center of mass is a FAR superior suspension design. Glad K went with it.

    OMFG a video from Reuben! Hey bud! How are you doing these days? The weekly rides videos went to hell when you left. I sat on one of those a few weeks ago, that is the single most comfortable bike I have ever had the pleasure to sit on. I swear it was more comfortable than our damn couch! Amazingly large too, I thought it'd be tiny like most Jpanese bikes and Ducatis etc but it was probably about the size (maybe slightly longer) as my dad's old 1965 Triumph T120C. Still a few things that could be changed to fit my big 6'10ish self with utmost comfort but it could be ridden stock... which is something I can't say about most bikes, including Harley. Unfortunately the dealer I went to won't start the bikes so I didn't get to hear it. You should definitely get it, which I'm sure you have..
    A place that sells motorcycle apparel and accessories you say... Maybe including Accessories for Competition? hehe nice dig there. :D
    Oh and on a personal note, don't know if you'll remember me or not, but I figured out why I have such crap social skills and say stupid things... Turns out that I'm likely on the Autism Spectrum.. Figured that out right before turning 32 back in October. So yeah, sorry I was insensitive about your weight back when dude, I just couldn't figure out how to say it any better than what I did.

    I bet it was great to be back on two wheels again! I took most of last year off because my patience for resurrecting my vintage bike had run out and I decided to save up for something more modern. So I know how to feel!
    I definitely think you should buy the Z900 RS. I sat on one at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show last month and was instantly enamored with it. It's probably my favorite modern bike from Japan at the moment.
    Really looking forward to more videos!

    One really cool aspect of this bike is that I've watched just about every You Tube video and have read just about every comment I can find and so far I have yet to find people reporting mechanical problems of any kind. I'm sure its not perfect but it basically proves we have the tech to build quality bikes. Prior to looking at this bike I was looking at the KTM Dukes and all I read is problem after problem.

  • @billyweeps8610

    I really think I'd have to replace the tires on that sooner rather than later but I do think I'd wait 1,000 miles till the break in was done before changing them out. That would give me some time to get to know the characteristics of the bike and decide exactly what I wanted to mount.

    Really tempted as well with one of these. I was surprised to see here you sold your 1100! I used to watch your videos all the time. I’d have to actually test ride one of these, but not sure it’ll satisfy me in the power dept like my 1100. What do you think power-wise? I suppose fuel injection would be nice.

    Rather like the look of the orange and brown Zephyr 750 with the spoke wheels, they are far more realistic replica of a Z1.These just look like modern Z900 with retro bits dragged over the top,but wouldnt say no to having one,as they have good power.For that matter i would have all 3 versions if i could afford it.In New Zealand we got the Z1 in 72.

    • @FroggyCrimes
      @FroggyCrimes 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NitroRoo yeah everyone I have heard from really love the z900rs. And I feel like I'm kinda a unique case in terms of what I'm comparing. I don't really need all the tech the 900rs has to offer, the w800 is cheaper and has what I want from that style of bike. I just want a comfy standard I can throw some soft bags on and go for a cruise.
      I actually have a ninja 400 for my daily right now and it's fantastic for going nuts in the canyons of SoCal.

  • @lr937
    @lr937 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like the looks of the bike, no doubt the design department did a great job, but.... it is snatchy, it wont let u enjoy the ride at low speeds or city traffic, first gear is way too short, u will find yourself constantly changing gears in stop and go traffic, at highway speeds is ok, it has power to move along traffic and passing other vehicles not a problem at all, riding position is a bit awkward , the seat kind of pushes you on top of the gas tank and the handlebars are way to open and high, almost like riding a dirtbike, that is the feeling u get when riding this bike, and every now and then it will shut off at slow speeds, it might be a fuel mapping problem or something to do with the EGR, hope kawasaki will address this problems, especially the mechanical ones, other than that is a a good looking bike, wait... brakes are kind of smoochy too, those are the problems I have found so far. Also...not the best for short riders, I am 6 foot and find it a bit uncomfortable considering that is supposed to be a classic modern bike...whatever that means for kawasaki
