I have the green light but in the evening it shows solar sensor open with the red light. Is this something I should be worried about? It doesn't seem to be warming the pool. Temp outside has been 78 sunny. Pool temp is not going up after solar has been on for days. I'm a retired woman on a limited income so paying a 150 service charge is not really an option unless absolutely necessary. Thank you.
Solar sensor goes on or near the roof, exposed to the air. Air sensor goes ground level near the controller, exposed to the air. Water sensors, get installed inside the plumbing by drilling a hole and held in place with a hose clamp. The pipe should be in front of the pool pump so it senses water temps coming from the pool.
Thanks. Worked like a charm. Saved $ and I feel great.
Thank you, great fix
Thanks a lot we just had the same issue and my husband could fix it with your video in no time. ❤
Do i have to use the connectors or just heat shrink cable protection
I would recommend the splicing terminals for a proper connection
Do you need to turn off the power to the pool pump and solar panel before doing this replacement?
There's no electricity that goes to cool solar heating. However, you do have to turn off the pump so there's no water pressure.
please exactly where this sensor goes on the roof thanks
place your solar sensor anywhere on or near the solar panel that it will get direct sunlight
