The ice is melting along the banks and a lot of the birds are back in the valley. Spring, despite the weather, has come to the Bow River and it is flowing freely again.
Another great video. Glad to see the birds coming back. Supposed to warm up for a few days, then cool off again, so there’s more wet snow in the future. Additional moisture is a good thing. Thanks for posting, Mike.
The Blue Herons are interesting. Down in Oklahoma by a small pond, the relatives were visited by a Blue Heron at their patio window. The reflection caused one bird to see the other bird as a threat. He was hitting the window hard. As well, we enjoyed how the birds came in flying so low before they landed.
