i just wanna note how clay's arc was THROWN OUT THE WINDOW. he went from this loving, caring mudwing who only wanted the best for his friends who saw the best in every dragon turned to... besides his significant protection of peril; he was nothing but comic relief with how much he ate, despite that never being a huge part of his character. when we first see his dreams, he's just at a buffet. the clay i know and love from book 1 (and briefly in escaping peril) would not dream about eating food and not listen to a word he was told; that was the biggest mistake i saw in wings of fire.
11:34 its genuiinely so relieving seeing someone with a bigger audience recognizing the warrior cats fandom's toxic side. Ive always loved the books, but ive recently left the fandom because people are so mean
@@The_Raven11 Calm down, calm down. There’s no reason to get so upset. Both fandoms are great in their own ways, it’s just the Warrior fandom has had some trouble the past few years, with problematic content creators and toxic fans that are constantly trying to start wars (heh, it’s in the name, isn’t it?). I just prefer the WoF fandom, the millions of people I’ve been with since I was a child (by the way, we’re far from ‘tiny’). It’s my comfort. If you can’t appreciate that, then you don’t have to say anything about it.
thats just them, not necessarily because they are in the fandom. im in the fandom, and some people are mean, but thats their problem. i've seen WOF fans be very toxic towards me because i didn't like the books, either. so, fair, fair
Interesting, no one has ever been mean to me as far as I can see or to others I've talked to, I only really thought it was the drama of certain individuals. Plus it is a bigger fandom so theres always a chance for that. I am sorry that happened to you though
(in my opinion) is both Warriors and WoF just as good in writing, the storyline, etc i dont think people should be comparing the series bcuz theyre both good
WoF has more depth by far. The tribes are so unique and it has so much history while Warrior cats, although it does have history, all the clans feel very similar to each other. I'd say WoF is better in that category.
@@The_Raven11 Yes, but the issue is that so many cats are forgotten. Not only that, but sometimes, their looks are mixed up (Crowfeather was said to have blue eyes, then switched to amber eyes, and kept switching back). Another bad thing is that the authors forget age gaps, and then make some very strange mates that should not be mates. The warriors also end up mating with their family, which a lot of fans don’t like.
@@The_Raven11 Yes, I get it, you’ve repeated that twice now. But it’s the fact that there are so many mistakes, especially ones that result in inappropriate relationships. And, if you mean do ‘I’ have a problem with Warriors, the answer is no. I enjoy reading the graphic novels with my little cousins every now and then. Of course, who doesn’t enjoy a good Multiple Animators Project, as well? I just like Wings of Fire much, much more. Besides, that’s what the video is about, is it not?
As someone who has loved Warriors for nearly two decades now and just bought the first WoF box set, this video was really interesting. As much as I love Warriors, I'm looking forward to better writing quality for WoF
@@arandomperso4438 I did come across a pdf for the first book on Internet Archive, but had difficulty finding the second book anywhere, so I caved and bought the box set for the first arc. Not sure about the others though, worth Googling!
@@arandomperso4438 oh, unless you're talking about Warriors. Yes, I believe every main series book is available for free online and a lot of the others.
Warriors is my favorite because I've been reading it for so long (Nearly 7 years now) and it means so much to me; in contrast I've only been reading wof 1 year at most, but I will admit while I like both wof has better writing, probably due to it only having one author lol
I personally find wings fo fire easier to understand. Warrior cats does have more content to keep you busy with but I think WoF has better storyline, as warrior cats is kinda hard to understand and goes a bit crazy all over the place
If my future kids say want to read either book I would be happy to get them a copy but also a copy of the other. I like both but if had to chose probably like Wings of Fire with a clearer vision being from one person not a group.
I am a Wings of Fire fan, and not a Warriors fan. But can we stop having this debate? Let the fandoms coexist, both are phenomenal and they don’t always have to be “rivals”. One doesn’t have to be considered “better” than the other.
Why? Literally almost no content creator discusses this, barely talked about in either fanbase. Like you might occasionally get Warriors fans saying "better Fandom" or wof fans saying "better writing" but nothing of note, it's not a bitter rivalry.
I always say that I think warriors has better world building that is easier to keep up with and is better to make ocs with etc, but wings of fire has way better character development. Warriors only gives you an outline of a character’s personality and the rest is down to headcannons or perspective, but wof has some very clear characters that you can imagine exactly how they’d react to certain things
I prefer the warriors writing style bc its easier to find what that character looks like no dispute without a cover appearance, there are minor ones (like scourges collar which is purple, litteraly look at The Rise Of Scourge's cover) and i think warrior's charracters are more iconic, especially in arcs 1 through 4. Firestar, Bluestar,Tigerstar,(unfortunately) Bramblestar,Yellowfang,Ashfur,Squirrelflight,Ivypool,Dovewing,Brightheart,Lionblaze,Jayfeather,Hollyleaf, even Mistystar and probably more im just not thinking of. DAISY. I love Daisy,i think she is iconic though idc if you disagree
Warriors, the series feels more "realistic", there are more iconic moments(Scourge vs Tigerstar, Ashfur's arc etc) there's always something going on, yes a lot of it is pointless drama for the sake of drama, but still. Warriors also seems better for older fans(this could technically be considered an issue, as the Erin's want to constantly write more adult situations into a children's series, and then we end up with a book like Spottedleaf's Heart). The Fandom side needs no iteration, Warriors Fandom is one of the best out there, ignoring the community drama obviously.
@@justasillygoose06 this is true, but that's just how it works, like Scourge vs Tigerstar did happen early in the series, and it's an incredibly iconic moment that can never be duplicated, both in wof and even Warriors itself. As for the series itself, if you include every book under the Warriors brand, there's currently over 100 books.
in my opinion both Warriors and WoF are both equal, but i just like Warriors more and others like WoF theres no need for a comparisment between the series if its opinial
I've spent time following both series. And I would argue writing wise Wings of Fire is the better series, but fandom wise Warriors has a massive edge. I know of a lot of people, including myself, who stop reading the books but are still in the fandom. Versus Wings of Fire, where the fandom has been kind of dying these past few years, but I still follow the series because it's good.
I personally like Wings of Fire more, but I might be biased since I kind of got bored while reading the new prophecy (look, it was getting extremely predictable and I was losing interest) and I kind of stopped reading past there lol. It also didn’t help that I’d been spoiled beyond belief by then so it was hard to really be surprised by anything, and knowing the way *some* characters turned out ( *cough cough* bramble-butt *cough cough* ) I just wasn’t really interested in reading anymore. Might pick it back up at some point but that’s just my opinion. Not that I really have any place in this argument since I barely read Warriors but I just thought I’d put this out there. Sorry for rambling and sorry if this got repetitive or hard to understand loll Also I am still involved in both fandoms, I just personally like Wings of Fire more
I think it’s funny how often WCs own fans dunk on the writing. As someone who has read 5 WC arcs and all 3 WOF arcs I personally prefer WOF by a long shot.
In my opinion, Warriors wins. I don’t think WOF is a horrible series, but I prefer Warriors over it. In my personal experience, Warriors is more realistic and more complex/mature in terms of writing, while WOF is more on the generic side. Don’t get me wrong! I ADORE both, but overall Warriors takes the cake for me. [ + It is better written. ]
Both. Who agrees? Actually, I do have a Warriors fan fiction, which I have semi developed the story. And I, am proud of it. Also you didn’t mention Fandom. I’m pretty sure that counts. Sadly, the WoF Fanon wiki has been spammed (according to some) these tripe “projects” to biomass the tribe rules.
Tbh, i think WoF is better. The warrior cats fandom does have more drama but their covers are MWAH✨ however WoF isn’t really all over the place, but the 2nd arc in WoF is spaghetti
Hello there, if you like to read those 2 series, here are some I’d recommend that you might also enjoy: -The Pillagy (contains book 1: Pillage, book 2: Choke, book 3: Ambush) -The Unwanteds -Endling -Bravelands -Nimbus by Jan Eldredge -Songs of Chaos Just some ideas if you ever need a good book to read. They’re quite enjoyable stories. Sorry, that was random…
Honestly, all of these points that you made in this video make sense. But I feel like no story is “flawless”. Every story you come across will have a mistake or two. And even if you try to “fix” it, more mistakes will become present. We can’t really say “ hey! ____is better than ____” because..it’s opinion based. Also, one point about warrior cats LBGTQ+ representation, they made it very minimal because they wanted it to be distributed everywhere(because some countries didn’t allow it) And I think HarperCollins didn’t allow any LBGTQ+ stuff either..if I’m not wrong- which is understandable why they would be minimal with the representation, or very vague about it. So yeah, that’s basically all I had to say. If you like warrior cats, go for warrior cats. If you like wings of fire, then go for wings of fire. Or, even better, if you like both, then enjoy your life. As long as you are surrounding yourself with the things you enjoy, then there shouldn’t be a problem
I enjoy wings of fire a lot more than warriors, but I used to read warriors. Eventually, I stopped reading it though because it became too hard to comprehend. After I found my first wings of fire book I fell in love with it instantly and here I am today.
Both of the, are great series! I will always love both of them :3 But some people think differently about this, and that’s okay! Ppl have different opinions, so respect them.
I feel like in this argument, newer books should be ignored. The newer Wof and WC books are terrible, WOF being worse because its hard to even understand what was happening in the last book because most of it was filler. I did read Wof first but if we're focusing on the first arc of the books I believe that Wc was better
I like Warriors better, partially because it's longer and a bit more confusing. I really like diving into all the lore, trying to remember the timeline of all the events, and other things. It also leaves a lot of room for theories and speculation, and I just really like long series in general, if I like the series to begin with. It does take some commitment, but for the people willing to commit, I think the length and complexity of Warriors is a plus
One of the book writers for the graphic comics of warrior cats actually drew raven and barley during pride month, blushing, and having a rainbow background for pride!
@@The_Raven11 As someone who's read nearly every warrior cats book... Most warrior cats characters are incredibly bland and boring. Genuine character development is a rare sight and awfully inconsistent. Warrior cats has what are called static characters. They typically don't change and most are not very complex at all save for a few lucky warriors who the writers give all of their attention to and leave every other character blank and uninteresting. Any changes that characters get with their personalities are not on purpose and are instead the writers being inconsistent and never paying mind to what they're actually putting down on the page. Wings of Fire, on the other hand (or paw, or talon), has incredible characters who purposefully change with the story and have impactful and interesting character arcs. If you still enjoy Warriors that's completely fine! But Tui clearly puts a lot more effort into her characters than warriors has ever done. Even mostly background characters in Tui's books have personalities, which is something you rarely ever see in warriors. Even when a background character does have a spark of personality in warriors, it's usually only to serve the plot ONCE and their personality is changed completely later and forgotten about. There's a lot of characters to keep track of in warriors but I'd rather take quality over quantity. Even the main characters are lacking and aren't safe from the Erin's bad writing. It makes the books so frustrating to read as someone who adores analysing characters.
@@Scytalis I disagre but that’s called an opinion. Also can’t you just get a joke, you don’t need to wright an entire essay. Just… next time, try and get the joke instead of spending like an hour weighting that. Also I’m not reading it so suck it
I definitely agree that Warrior cats is more toxic. I've never had an issue with WoF fans but I have had multiple people on the roblox warrior cats game try to get me banned for refusing to remove a bandana my character was wearing. It's literallly part of the game's customization (on a childrens game site about a children's book mind you. Some people need to get a life.), why shouldnt I wear it?
@Foxy_Eight Yea, but people in the Fandom still play it. Besides, I wasn't even talking about the kids on it? It was a couple of moderators causing problems.
I love both series, but personally i'd say warrior cats. The series has just generally stuck with me more, and the worldbuilding and characters (some, i do still love some characters in wof) of WOF never stood up to WC imo. Though, i do think WOF is better in terms of less problematic writing, and writing in general if we're comparing to the recent wc arcs, a good example is spottedleafs heart- known in the wc fandom to be... well... yeah. But genuinely, people can enjoy whatever they want. I don't think we should be split apart by whichever book series we like more. But this is mainly focusing on older arcs. Around 1-3. Newer arcs, such as OOTS, AVOS, and ASC, are... wow. I also love how genuinely passionate Tui is with her series. Ultimately, while i prefer wc, wof has so many good parts about it, but personally to *me* i like wc more since it has much more memorable scenes, better worldbuilding, more enjoyable characters, and i like the plot a lot more. I feel like in wof it kinda threw you in there,, "dragons stuck in cave.. must escape.. yay freedom!!!" I also like the fandom of WC more. It has more talented artists and animators, a more friendly community (sometimes? ive met quite a bit of mean people too tho smh), and i absolutely love just how many deeply analyzing theories there are, and roleplaying. But i just want to remind everyone, before i finish this accidentally too long wall of text, that you are free to enjoy whatever you want. Even if you don't like *either* of these series, you can enjoy whatever you like. I have picked up so many good books that are completely seperate from wof and wc, and have the same or at least almost the same quality.
Finally someone who picks the actually important things and explaning. Ive seen shorts sayong which one is the best but the anwsers just target one specifically example Warriors vs wof Dragons: point to wof, duh warriors does not have dragons, these questions dont target one to easily give them a point
I’ve only read the original first six Warriors books, but that story alone is better written than any Wings Of Fire arc in my eyes. I don’t know what happens afterwards, but that original series is spectacular!
Wha- I mean, this just my opinion but... While none fo them are BAD, wof definitely had better writing! I don't *hate* warriors, though. Although your opinion *is* your opinion.
I think WoF is so much better. Warriors lore is super cool and such an awesome concept but man i get so overwelmed because there is SO much to unpack once you start the series. It’s very inconsistent and really hard to keep track of who said what, where this happened, and so much more, but that’s just my opinion! I love WoF because though the lore can be considered confusing as well (because all lore is in some way, no doubt) I think it’s a very simple series, and it easier to keep track of what happens. Maybe it’s because it’s a smaller series book count wise, but idk that’s how I feel. Plus u can make so much more unique OC designs. Sure there are lots of warriors ocs with LORE and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT and omg i can go on and on (specifically referring to Louxxie bc i love her ocs aaaa,, but lots of other creators as well!!) but I just think you can do so much more with color palettes and stuff that are really cool besides the natural colors wild cats have.
also maybe it’s just me, but after watching a few maps i was so excited to start the series so I could actually understand what was happening in the animations 😭 but once i opened the first book OMG i got SO BORED. sure wings of fire has its slow and not really needed parts in the story but I think warriors is such a slow pace, i literally could not bring myself to read the next arc.
@@mccblss Fr I loved the animations so I got the first 3 books, I read the first one and I still haven't finished the other 2 because IT WAS SO BORING 😭😭
I couldn’t agree more! The books were too slow for me, and there’s far to much to keep up on. I mean, come on, over 100 books?!?!? Wings of Fire always has some sort of action going on, and if not, there’s some good drama or dialogue unraveling.
I honestly think that both have their own good parts. Personally I like Wings of Fire’s characters and story more, while Warriors has more content. But I think the newer warrior cats books aren’t that great. I agree when you say that there is just too much content in warriors.
wings of fire is short their fandom is small and you can't dive into this like you can for warriors. and yes about the warriors fandom, we are nasty. But not for the reasons you say, we will snap at others people's opinions but not about one artist being better than the other.
I love both of the books! Both very interesting and they are adventure. They have amazing characters and the story Of both books are great.I cannot pick which one I like best though. I’ve seen wings of fire first then warriors but I can’t pick ❤
I feel like a huge reason Wings of Fire is overall better written is because it only has one author. There are so many inconsistencies in Warrior cats its insane, Wings of fire may have a few but no where compared to warrior cats
I personally believe that warriors is better. Does nobody remember how boring books 11, 12, and 15 were? Yeah I know lizard's/Freedom’s sacrifice was dramatic but for me it just didn’t hit right. I also don’t think the short character arcs in wof had as much effect as we give them credit for like clay, tsunami, winter, etc
I’ve only ever read Warriors but I’m not opposed to WoF, my friend really likes it and I’m planning on reading it in the future. I’m glad to hear these great things about the series, that only wants to make me read it more! I’d thought it was more childish and never was honestly interested in dragons, though same with Warriors (I’ve always loved cats though) as I started reading it at 8-9. I’m only into the 2nd arc of Warriors (I restarted it late last year as I got bored the first time in 5th grade after Fire and Ice) though I do believe there can be more LGBTQ+ representation, I understand if the authors don’t want to explicitly state it as the fandom is extremely big and they are afraid of backlash/losing fans and sales, though many forms of art in the fandom have already created and imagined this by many characters and fanfictions; it probably wouldn’t do much damage. I do love the writing style of Warriors, how much i can visualize it and how immersive it is, though the editing really needs to be worked on regarding the mistakes ive seen being only a quarter-way through the series. I'll finish here, thank you so much for taking the time to make this video; i love watching your content and seeing your view on these topics!
Personally, I think WoF is better in terms of writing but the amount of warriors lore and content really drew me in so I think (for me) warriors is my favorite. Also, I've been reading it for way longer.
I love both of these serieses, and absolutely devoured warrior cats when I first found them, but I really do think WoF is better than warriors. That being said, Warriors probably wins in non-canon content, just because there are so many massive creators bouncing off of the limitless content. WoF fandom is good but small, like you said. Honestly I hope the fandom grows and improves over the years as more content happens and more kids grow up loving them (as warriors had a huge head start)
*W I N G S O F F I RE* wot is amazing, its dark but can still be appropriate to kids warrior cats is just too dark, and wc`s fandom is really toxic (in some areas)
@@Nonsense_JARB and speaking of the WC fandom, it will never be perfect. Just the pure size of it will almost ensure some toxic users, but if you find the right places. It can be really fun!
Personally I think that wings of fire is better, but that’s just my opinion. I feel like we have a lot less drama caused by.. various reasons *ahem ahem*, and quite frankly I haven’t seen the wof fandom have any videos made on bad people doing horrid things in the fandom, or the author making some bad decisions. Honestly I’m pretty sure it’s also less problematic from what I’ve seen. The warrior cats fandom is pretty decent though, and it’s pretty fun to RP with people :D
I havent read warriors since i was like 10 so i dont remember too much. But man wof is amazing. Im a trial mod in a wof discord and i just love the fandom. So many kind accepting people. Its very refreshing with how toxic the internet is these days
I want to read Warrior Cats, but there's way too many books to start. I'd rather read Wings of Fire because there's less books to read, and since I can't naturally get myself to enjoy a book with not enough pictures, I usually read graphic novels. And Wings of Fire have better graphic novels then Warrior Cats in my opinion.
If you don’t want to read it that is fine, you can get all your info in a fandom. That’s actually how I know most of what I know about warrior cats. And if you don’t bring up any well debated things you won’t be hated on. (P.S. Twitch is the worst place to go)
As someone who has been reading WoF since the beginning, and Warriors since 2016, WoF is SO much better than Warriors. It’s the definition of “quality over quantity”.
@@The_Raven11 I am being quite civil and respectful. Have you ever thought that someone has their own preferences? I enjoy Wings of Fire more than Warriors. It isn’t personal.
5:02 this is just my opinion, but, i like the med cat povs. Although i am on the 3rd book in omen of the stars, so that might also be cuz jayfeather isnt exactly a *bad* character....
They’re both good in there own ways! WarriorCats is more realistic and for more mature people but Wings of fire has more fantasy. It’s also easier to read!❤
a lot of ppl are saying wof, and honestly, i love it too, but since my old school first read warriors at read aloud, and ive been in the fandom for around 2021 and only wof this spring, id have to go with warriors. i will admit, wof has slightly better books in my opinion, and the new warrior cats lore is VERY confusing, but warriors is gonna be my top for like.. probably another year or two. i also make warrior cats lore with my current friends ALL THE TIME, while i dont have that many friends who like wof as much. personally, i would say both, but if it was one or the other, i would have to go with warrior cats. this is my own personal opinion, and your free to disagree, but ive known warriors for a lot longer than wof. also kinkajou and tallstar (or bristlefrost, idk ive had tallstar as a favorite for A LONG TIME) are my favorite warrior cat and wof characters
how I found the Wings of Fire series I kind of forget but I wanna share how I basically found both book series, I found warriors through liking cats and looking for a cat book series I found more about warriors on spotify, I searched "warrior cat songs" and some blixemi songs came up the first and only one I used to ever listen to was "walk without the stars" later I found out about Wings of Fire and stopped liking warriors and at that time I had no warriors books I read the whole entire Lost Heir thats the first book I ever read! I loved it a few years later I got back into warriors and I still am from that point, the first books I got were for christmas they are the books [I kinda forgot the name] and "Leopardstar's honor" and the next two books I got were for christmas 2023 [last year] "River" and "Sky" [I'm pretty sure] and I'm currently reading "The Hive Queen" of course it is a Wings of Fire book I'm also reading "Leopardstar's Honor" in school and "River" at home [yes the same "Leopardstar's Honor" I own is currently in school]
I’m both a Warriors and Wings Of Fire fan. Both have their problems though I’d argue that Warrior's problems are easier for me to pick up on, and have their good moments. But I don’t care for many main characters from either series, they’re boring to me and I don’t get the hype around them. I only like Mothwing and Dovewing from Warriors, and Sundew and Turtle from Wings Of Fire. But there’s one thing I think both are awful at and that’s the romances. I don’t give two craps about any of them. I only like two or three lol.
It really did tho. Like, many many fans want it and hc canon characters as homosexual or/and trans, or just make ocs that are, it’s more than a bit surprising to me that not one author has decided to do it yet…
For my opinion I support both of them but Warriors really was my childhood it made me stop reading graphic novels and its a good thing since you need to understand like more words I read it since 7 years old I just love the characters and I think that it made me develope my writing and imagination But for Wof I think that like kids and any age group would like WoF but I Guess that some older kida enjoy warriors and in fact I prefer the Warrior cat Maps and animations it really made me develope my art
I want to read warrior cats but I don’t know what books I should skip, how I can understand everything,if I should *even* buy the books or just listen to a audiobook
It’s your choice, and you don’t even have to read the books if you don’t want to, the fandom is “usually” welcoming. And those toxic peeps, just stay away from like twitter or discord and you’ll be fine
i would prefer reading the actual books, because audios can be hard to understand sometimes. and i dont think you should skip any books, not matter how boring they get. in power of three series, all the books have drama, but im nearly on the next series now. i dont think you should skip any of those.
The only part of this rant that i didn’t like was that she barely referenced the prophecies begin and new prophecy’s. It kinda annoyed me, because those are the two biggest and well known arcs. The writing style for these 12 books were amazing. The characters were iconic. The fandom was great. It was iconic. And to just throw these 2 arcs away, barely getting mentioned instead using the new arcs, kinda made me annoyed. Other than that, it was a great video!
10:11 representation isn't just lgbtq+ can we talk about how blue'star (if im not mistaken) was incredibly ableist when naming cats with disabilities??? meanwhile wings of fire has peril (who you could arguably say has a disability), sky (same as peril, but born without fire) clay (who has a limp), dune (who had an injured wing), and probably more i'm forgetting!!! and these dragons are treated normally, and named normally, and their injuries aren't huge parts of their characters (except for peril, but her entire arc is learning to seperate herself from someone who manipulated her for her disability and accept that dragons will either like her or won't, and all that matters is that she likes herself iirc) !! (extras from replies: starflight is blind, tamarin is blind, osprey has no wings, sky born w/o fire, chameleon couldnt change his colors and had a snout thing so he couldnt sleep for more than an hour)
Tamarin is blind, Starflight is blind, Chameleon cannot change his colors, Mayfly’s battle scars from the IceWings, Jerboa III has an incredibly ruined body, Osprey has no wings in the graphic novel (in the books, Osprey’s tail is paralyzed), Wasp’s face was melted, Sequoia is missing one horn and her ear is torn as well as her tail, Flame’s face scar, Sky has no fire, Stonemover is fossilized, Scarlet’s face was melted, Tau has one small wing deformity, Princess Sapphire lost all of her claws, the MudWing in Burn’s Weirdling Tower as well as all the other dragons in there, and Snowflake’s wing was burned off to where she can’t fly. Of course, the one’s you listed as well. Wings of Fire really does have a lot of unique dragons.
I'm a bit late to the party, but I recently left the WC fandom because people are so toxic. Love your videos! Also... we need Moonjou ship children if you haven't already >:D
I have too. I feel more of a connection with Wings of Fire, especially after reading Flames of Hope. That one touched my heart. I’ve never cried during a book but I did then. By the way, I love your art.
@@n4ira Good for me? This was the most devastating part in the books (for me). It was not a “good” time. I was just stating that warriors can be sad, happy, and suspenseful. And if you don’t like the fandom, just watch Bok Bok Choy. The funniest animator I’ve ever seen
In the end this actually just comes down to opinion. For me, WoF seems to have boring writing while Warrior cats is more descriptive and more catching! I prefer Warriors than WoF but that's just my opinion!
Me personally, as a huge warriors fan, I borrowed a WoF book from my friend, thinking that it was probably the same. EVEN THOUGH i do think it was readable, i just think that Warriors has better characters, better storyline (even though it might be long, still good and its nice to see it keep going), way better iconic moments etc. No hate to WoF fans, its just my opinion. Also, as a person who loves watching MAP's, WoF just doesnt have many well done. So imo, warriors is WAY better than WoF :|
I absolutely love warrior cats, but if I have to be honest, the fandom of WC has gone down a long way ever sense Erin hunter said they would write in November. it's like if you said to your friend, you can't call, and then you ghost them for a month. and I am also still disappointed that they only write like one book about a cat and then write them off in some other cats' book!!! like what??? but overall I'm still on the warrior's side of the little turf war, but I do like wof too, they have muuuuuuuuuch better quality in the graphic novels. 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑
i just wanna note how clay's arc was THROWN OUT THE WINDOW.
he went from this loving, caring mudwing who only wanted the best for his friends who saw the best in every dragon turned to... besides his significant protection of peril; he was nothing but comic relief with how much he ate, despite that never being a huge part of his character. when we first see his dreams, he's just at a buffet. the clay i know and love from book 1 (and briefly in escaping peril) would not dream about eating food and not listen to a word he was told; that was the biggest mistake i saw in wings of fire.
0:56 I’m a wings of fire fan and I didn’t read a single warrior cats book until I was finished with wings of fire so this is busted

Interesting, no one has ever been mean to me as far as I can see or to others I've talked to, I only really thought it was the drama of certain individuals. Plus it is a bigger fandom so theres always a chance for that. I am sorry that happened to you though
I think in terms of writing, WoF is better (As Warriors has some pretty crap writing) but Warriors has better depth.
Also warriors is more inconsistent but that would just be because of the different erins (just take the dovewing eye color situation)
(in my opinion) is both Warriors and WoF just as good in writing, the storyline, etc
i dont think people should be comparing the series bcuz theyre both good
Honestly the more I think about it, they both have terrible writing at some point.
WoF has more depth by far. The tribes are so unique and it has so much history while Warrior cats, although it does have history, all the clans feel very similar to each other. I'd say WoF is better in that category.

Writing wise I feel like wings of fire
More like wings of warrior
I agree
Quite right. I think having so many authors on Warriors was a major part of the issue.
Can you read every series for free on your phone with illigal pdf downloads

Warriors is my favorite because I've been reading it for so long (Nearly 7 years now) and it means so much to me; in contrast I've only been reading wof 1 year at most, but I will admit while I like both wof has better writing, probably due to it only having one author lol
same lol
Your so weird I hate warrior's
I personally find wings fo fire easier to understand. Warrior cats does have more content to keep you busy with but I think WoF has better storyline, as warrior cats is kinda hard to understand and goes a bit crazy all over the place
I think so too. I got lost during the 2ND arc. It’s too much to keep up with, for me at least.
Same
Ya same here. I couldn’t find the first book I was so confused.
But if you don’t have wars between fandoms it Isn’t really a fandom
I fell in love with WOF even though I've been reading warriors for longer but warriors has a lot of ableism in their books
Well they aren’t in such a advanced society as us. I also see a lot of people talking about the cats as if they were in our society, but there not.
@@The_Raven11 Thats so true!
All the clans feel the same to me. I feel like WoF has better tribes.
But his figurine has a red collar.
@@Danmeilover69the figure has a very ambiguous colour, could be red could be purple lol
I prefer Warrior cats but I do enjoy reading WoF.
The Fandom side needs no iteration, Warriors Fandom is one of the best out there, ignoring the community drama obviously.
agreed
I feel like Warriors has more iconic moments mainly cause it’s longer, I’ve lost track of the number of books lol
@@justasillygoose0645 main seires
@@justasillygoose06 this is true, but that's just how it works, like Scourge vs Tigerstar did happen early in the series, and it's an incredibly iconic moment that can never be duplicated, both in wof and even Warriors itself. As for the series itself, if you include every book under the Warriors brand, there's currently over 100 books.
in my opinion both Warriors and WoF are both equal, but i just like Warriors more and others like WoF
theres no need for a comparisment between the series if its opinial
I've spent time following both series. And I would argue writing wise Wings of Fire is the better series, but fandom wise Warriors has a massive edge. I know of a lot of people, including myself, who stop reading the books but are still in the fandom. Versus Wings of Fire, where the fandom has been kind of dying these past few years, but I still follow the series because it's good.
Wings of Fire literally saved my life. It will always be my favorite because of that.
Sorry for rambling and sorry if this got repetitive or hard to understand loll
Also I am still involved in both fandoms, I just personally like Wings of Fire more
I think it’s funny how often WCs own fans dunk on the writing.
As someone who has read 5 WC arcs and all 3 WOF arcs I personally prefer WOF by a long shot.
For me, it's Warrior Cats.
Ahhh yes.... WoF and Warriors might just be my two favorite book series.. Anddddddd so I can't decide :'D

Sorry, that was random…
@@n4ira These sound like good books! Thanks for suggesting them!
After I found my first wings of fire book I fell in love with it instantly and here I am today.
i could understand it perfectly when i started reading at 9 years old.
As someone who has read both, WOF is better by a longshot. I prefer Warriors' fandom, though.
Both of the, are great series! I will always love both of them :3
But some people think differently about this, and that’s okay! Ppl have different opinions, so respect them.
I was stuck with wof for the past two years until my mom bought warriors arc 1, then I became obsessed 😍 sorry wings of fire!

Wings of fire gives characters personalities. Not Mary sues or just description like Warriors.
My man, how much of warriors have you read
Real
Wcue has nothing to do with this, most people on wcue are kids that dont even read the books so yea-
@Foxy_Eight Yea, but people in the Fandom still play it. Besides, I wasn't even talking about the kids on it? It was a couple of moderators causing problems.
@@solareclipsewingding8091 the moderators are awful people, I heard they are still teenagers too?
I feel like in wof it kinda threw you in there,, "dragons stuck in cave.. must escape.. yay freedom!!!"
I also like the fandom of WC more.
Ive seen shorts sayong which one is the best but the anwsers just target one specifically example
Warriors vs wof
Dragons: point to wof, duh warriors does not have dragons, these questions dont target one to easily give them a point
I’ve only read the original first six Warriors books, but that story alone is better written than any Wings Of Fire arc in my eyes. I don’t know what happens afterwards, but that original series is spectacular!
Wha-
I mean, this just my opinion but...

Wings of Fire from a writing quality standpoint, but I consider them equal in enjoyability which makes them equally good to me!
Should I read wings of fire? I'm part of the warrior cats community btw.
wings of fire is short their fandom is small and you can't dive into this like you can for warriors. and yes about the warriors fandom, we are nasty. But not for the reasons you say, we will snap at others people's opinions but not about one artist being better than the other.
I had never actually heard of Warriors before I started looking into WoF content
Well, in the end, it's the readers choice which one they think is the best
I love both of the books!
Both very interesting and they are adventure. They have amazing characters and the story
Of both books are great.I cannot pick which one I like best though.
I’ve seen wings of fire first then warriors but I can’t pick ❤
When you said writing wise and characters my first thought was “Crap warriors might lose”
I feel like a huge reason Wings of Fire is overall better written is because it only has one author. There are so many inconsistencies in Warrior cats its insane, Wings of fire may have a few but no where compared to warrior cats
I personally believe that warriors is better. Does nobody remember how boring books 11, 12,
and 15 were?
I prefer Warriors, but everyone has their own opinions!
Personally, I think WoF is better in terms of writing but the amount of warriors lore and content really drew me in so I think (for me) warriors is my favorite. Also, I've been reading it for way longer.
I found wof before warriors
I love both of these serieses, and absolutely devoured warrior cats when I first found them, but I really do think WoF is better than warriors. That being said, Warriors probably wins in non-canon content, just because there are so many massive creators bouncing off of the limitless content. WoF fandom is good but small, like you said. Honestly I hope the fandom grows and improves over the years as more content happens and more kids grow up loving them (as warriors had a huge head start)

Hehehe I have found you once again.
@@cringenugget oop
Me too. I don’t like the writing in Warriors.
For me it’s Wings of Fire without a doubt
This isn’t a “who is best” it’s your opinion. What sort of video is this .-.
I love both, I don’t wanna choose
I’d also like to mention Tamarin, who’s blind
I totally forgot that clay had a limp lol
That’s all I could think of. Sorry if I missed some.
@@The_Raven11 From the book series Wings of Fire.
I'm a bit late to the party, but I recently left the WC fandom because people are so toxic. Love your videos! Also... we need Moonjou ship children if you haven't already >:D
We’re just… defensive of our beliefs (pls come back, it’s a losing battle)
I have too. I feel more of a connection with Wings of Fire, especially after reading Flames of Hope. That one touched my heart. I’ve never cried during a book but I did then.
By the way, I love your art.
@@n4ira I cried when hollyleaf died.🫤
@@The_Raven11 OK?… Good for you?
@@n4ira Good for me? This was the most devastating part in the books (for me). It was not a “good” time. I was just stating that warriors can be sad, happy, and suspenseful. And if you don’t like the fandom, just watch Bok Bok Choy. The funniest animator I’ve ever seen
In the end this actually just comes down to opinion. For me, WoF seems to have boring writing while Warrior cats is more descriptive and more catching! I prefer Warriors than WoF but that's just my opinion!
biggest issue in warrior cats is the faact that every book practically has a different author
WINGS OF FIRE
Me personally, as a huge warriors fan, I borrowed a WoF book from my friend, thinking that it was probably the same. EVEN THOUGH i do think it was readable, i just think that Warriors has better characters, better storyline (even though it might be long, still good and its nice to see it keep going), way better iconic moments etc. No hate to WoF fans, its just my opinion. Also, as a person who loves watching MAP's, WoF just doesnt have many well done. So imo, warriors is WAY better than WoF :|
10:35 legit my whole channel is about them lol
Agreed
10:00 you forgot anenome and tamarin! The cutest couple!!!
I have to say that is one of my favorite ships. They definitely belong together. 💙💛🩵🩷
The names confuse me
I personally will always love WC more then WOF but WOF is also very good.
OMG IM SO EARLY
I absolutely love warrior cats, but if I have to be honest, the fandom of WC has gone down a long way ever sense Erin hunter said they would write in November. it's like if you said to your friend, you can't call, and then you ghost them for a month. and I am also still disappointed that they only write like one book about a cat and then write them off in some other cats' book!!! like what??? but overall I'm still on the warrior's side of the little turf war, but I do like wof too, they have muuuuuuuuuch better quality in the graphic novels. 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑
I like both so I can’t choose :p
