  • In keeping up with it's Pennsylvania rivals, New York Central Railroad came with its own "water route" service with 2 tone gray power. Today my friends, lets take a trip on the NYC path of train rides from the city that never sleeps to the Windy City. Get ready to climb aboard the 1948 20th Century Limited!

I can’t wait to have my 20th Century look like that. However I’ll have a Hudson pulling it. I just got the creek series car in the mail today so now I need the cars in the middle.
I also found the lighting kit recommended for the observation cars on eBay so can’t wait to light it too.

@@shadowstep77 I'd love to see a video of it. I'm more of a steam head over a diesel guy. The 1950's cars would still look good, even though the color is different it wouldn't look too bad.

Beautiful!! What was the added feature on the observation?

I added the LED red light features to the observation car. Started to do that on most of my Walthers end cars to give it more realism when they actually ran back in the days of streamline trains.

how many cars make up this consist

I tried to keep it under 15 since the Century Train was made up mostly of sleepers. So I think it around that number or less. They did sometimes add an ATSF 4-4-2 and a 24-8 sleeper in the mix
