Sruchi Vadalia shares her cancer story!

When you have a purpose in life, you can't lose it to cancer. Sruchi Vadalia Oza's life, work, and ability to fight brain cancer is a testimony to it. With a zeal to defeat cancer she has been able to keep the fatal disease at a bay and present herself as an inspiration to us.
In 2012, when Sruchi was in the second year of her higher education, her vision suddenly blacked out and she couldn't see anything. It became all pitch dark, and she fainted. What was thought to be a sunstroke came out as a brain tumor. However, her oncologist declared one of the worst reports: she had only a few months to live. She and her family went into a state of deep shock.
However, she decided to fight back with her family's support .She underwent 36 radiation and 36 chemotherapy that took a toll on her transforming her completely from physical appearance to mental and emotional torture. However, despite pain and suffering, she continued her studies. Sruchi beat cancer and completed her masters. But after seeing the discrimination meted out to cancer patients and survivors in the workplace and by society at large, she decided to do something for them.
Sruchi tried to address the cause of cancer and found air pollution as the one that is associated with cancer. This led her to start a 'tree plantation' mission and cultivate awareness about the importance of trees. She has planted nearly 75,000 trees till now and her mission continues.
