- This Sunday Sunday Sunday, CarCast steps onto the liquid quarter mile to profile the "Problem Child" top fuel Hydro Boat! Our guests are the very knowledgeable Cam Evans of Red Line Oil, sponsors of "Problem Child" as well as team owner Eddie Knox. We stick Adam in the driver's seat and fire this 9,000 hp blown nitro engine! If our neighbors don't hate us already, they do now!

I remember this boat...
I remember watching SMOKE ON THE WATER set a world record at Longbeach Marine Stadium at 203.60 back in the 70's...Memories. Crazy Horse # 535 was the big Blown Fuel Flatbottom contender back then :)
dam wish they would come back !
I cannot believe you fired that up in town. Any cops!? So awesome!
Yeah, the "big" network CBS sports, "Not even the NHRA is on there", yeah, because the NHRA is on ESPN. But drag boat racing is now on MAVTV, but it needs more exposure, along with the H1 Hydroplane series and the Super Boat championship (offshore powerboat racing)
Holy crap, that's a monster of an engine. I gotta look at the site to see if they snapped a few pictures of it.
Watch the trees getting blown around lol.
Fast Eddie is the MAN 🤛😎🤜
never heard the cackle of nitro
Anybody else notice him start to take his fingers out of his ears then change his mind?
To the question on resistance these boats use twin props and only them touch the water there hardly no resistance at all
I wanna drive it !!!!!!!
I didn't listen to the podcast of this yet, but does drag/resistance increase or decrease when going over water at 140+ mph? I'm comparing this to a regular boat going 45mph as well as a car's resistance between the road. Does anyone know what would have more total resistance?
Woowee!!! 9,000hp and 8,000rpm!!??? That's some serious power on a 500lb boat!!! 8^O
Mario Jose Gonzalez boat actually ways 3500 lbs.
...is that a trailer ...on a trailer!?!?
The trailers they usually transport them around the track areas are usually smaller, lower and not street legal. They're designed to hook up to a cable to pull them into the back of a semi race trailer.
Your neighbours must love you after starting that monster up.
I know one of his neighbors
8-9000 hp?! 0.o
My Neighbor
