Let me try to describe how I accomplished the missing, critical installation part: 1) use a very thin zip tip going thru the outer two of the three holes to strap the cross member of the spring in place. 2) Contact the left spring on the rest, use a 90 degree pick to pull the left edge of the spring back and up resting in the correct spot 3) Insert the left peg of cover into left hole of bumper 4) Using a 90 degree pick, pull the right edge of the spring back and up resting in the correct spot on the right 5) Using that same pick, pull the cover peg into the hole on the right.

Hello noticed that You pushed it in a little at the end. Is it not supposed to spring shut on it's own ?
Where did you buy the replacement cover ? I can only find primed ones
