Wow what a great catch! I've never seen a ballast train on this stretch of track, nice work! Excellent video thanks for posting. Any idea what time locals usually run Monday thru Friday? - Larry
Great video and thanks for sharing. Any idea why it was going so slow?. I bet there were quite few angry drivers...lol. this reminds me of the late 70's when they had 60 to 70 car trains on a daily basis. It is nice to see they are putting a lot of money into this line.
The train was full of ballast. All 88 cars if it. And I believe the rail is only 115 pounds, so the engineer had to crawl to its location to fill the ballast.
Awesome 😀😃😄🐱😺😸😊☺😁🙂 this is a rare sight to see and you don't get to see these kinds of trains on this area but it's cool and amazing, it's hauling ballast rocks on Union Pacific hopper cars 😀 i gotta see this train when it comes through there one day and i hope to film it 📹 and take pictures of it someday 📸😁.
This was yesterday. Sunday the 22nd. It hasn’t finished the job yet as they need more ballast and more daylight. So maybe next weekend they will use this train again. And in the near future a rail train
I believe back to LA or West Colton to get refilled with ballast. They didn’t finish the job on Sunday. But now the locals are all over this line Monday through Friday so the ballast train has to wait for next weekend to come back
UP BALLASY TRAIN 🚆 STREET RUNNING 🏃♂️ IN ANAHEIM CA!! 😊😅😮😢🎉😂❤❤

Damn, why is the train running so slow?
It’s on very old track and the train is very heavy
California drivers aren’t always the best you would hope for. They bump into everything.
As far as I'm aware, this is just north of Disneyland.
where is the street running trains, which direction of the station
Was this today? That’s a rare sight to see a ballast train went through there.

Which subdivision is Anaheim tracks in?
Anaheim industrial line is its own spur/local line branching off Los Nietos yard and essentially the LA sub.
How often do trains cross this track?
Monday through Friday twice a day for locals. Special trains like this are rare and random. This particular train ran on a Sunday
