Great video, near the end, where were they taking that lone blue boxcar? I know the first group of boxcars when to International paper, but I can't figure out where they are taking that last one. What crossing street is that, around 19:00 minute mark?
That last boxcar was going to Fisher Printing West on 2257 N Pacific St, Orange, CA 92865. And the crossing I was at was Taft avenue in between Batavia and Glassell. There are 3 customers beyond that crossing, FXI chemicals, Fisher Printing, and Westpac Materials. All in the city of Orange.
@@mutanay77 So Fisher get a boxcar, guessing not too often. That Westpac place is cool looking. What kind of cars do they get? I saw a photo showing a covered hopper near there but almost looks like they might get boxcars or centerbeams? Any ideas? Thanks for all your replies. I know FXI gets a bunch of tanks.
@@VSLAModelRR fisher can vary a box car twice a week or once a week. But it’s guaranteed weekly service. Tuesday and Thursday deliveries for all 3 industries. Westpac gets covered hoppers in sets of 2 or 3, depending on the order. That’s guaranteed twice a week delivery. And FXI is the biggest customer there with an abundance of tanks every Tuesday and Thursday
@@mutanay77 Damn, so then the Marlboro has those 3 plus Int'l Paper, Crenshaw Lumber, Ganhal Lumber, Propack and ABC Aspahlt (right by Ganhal)? Oh, and sometimes the plastic Transload place? If my research is correct
@@adrianu399 no there’s no BNSF mainline near there. It’s all UP. Just go on the 5 Freeway and get off Lincoln avenue and find either Broadway or Manchester. And the yard is right there
@@mutanay77 oh okay I see, I found the yard on google maps, I thought the metrolink and bnsf mainline that went down to San Diego passed through Anaheim. My bad, I’m not from the area so I was a little confused.
@@davidanderson767 it’s the same schedule except they don’t run to orange after Anaheim, they connect to the orange sub and take it to the Surfliner sub to the Santa Ana industrial tracks at chestnut.
Nice coverage of this local, excellent video !

@@mutanay77 Yeah, I've seen FXI, I didn't realize they had more customers still getting serviced over there. More research to do for me lol

Where is the Union Pacific yard located in Anaheim or orange area?
Anaheim at Broadway and Manchester Blvd. near the 5 freeway and Lincoln
@@mutanay77 I’m a little confused, is this yard on the bsnf mainline in Anaheim?

I've been at that Yard 35 yrs ago when it was southern Pacific railroad
What time does the local usually run?
They start at 6am and build up their train. They leave the yard around 7-8:30 and come back to the yard between noon-2pm
Thank you, going to check that out
Do you happen to know the costa mesa local's schedule as well?
