Spying is a mundane boring work most of the times . Gathering intelligence is a lonely job , one which you can't discuss with anybody . It is the analysts who have the interesting job of making heads or tails out of it .
they should have kept Beth instead of this tosser... This events gave me insight in how to develop story lines: you either have a super-capable conquer-the-world enemy and have to send your best asset (like James Bond or Neil Burnside) - or your own crew is below average and the tension comes from how they deal with their failures.
The initial premise is very weak. Why would they copy the files in the first place (who would they be for ?), and if they are so important why would Calum just walk out with the case and go alongside the river ? No security ? Why not go by car with at least one other person plus driver ? This part is illogical and quite pathetic. And their attitude towards the "field agents" is very cavalier (somewhat disposable). This aspect needs to be toned down a bit as it is quite unrealistic.
