The ability to come into someone's home unannounced, install updates onto their computer, and then reboot their computer without permission - this has got to be illegal or at least infringe upon personal rights and privacy. How is Microsoft allowed to do this and get away with it? Where is Congres when you need them? Do they even know?!?

Microsoft is/was heavily involved with DARPA and the CIA. After the incident with the Nazis and IBM, they knew no one would trust IBM into their home. Welcome Windows, its monopoly, and all its anti-competitive behavior.

amazon took £9.99 out of my bank account recently for amazon music, which I never had or need, they claimed it was ordered via alexa which is another thing I do not have and will never have. (they were quick to refund which makes it even more suspicious)

I honestly think Microsoft needs to be sued for forcing people into updating like this because apparently disabling updates normally doesn’t do anything and they still force updates. They’ve also removed the registry file that allows you to disable updates. Quite invasive if you think about it. All the more reason I think a lawsuit is needed.

I wanted to mention windows has since added something in the task scheduler called sih and just from briefly reading it, it sounds like another failsafe to re-enable windows update by sending you updates from a different method. May want to look into disalbing that as well.

Well explained video! Just one advice, would have been great if the extra step to install gpedit for Win Home edition was mentioned at the beginning of the video and not the end. I wasted so much time trying to figure out why it wasn't showing up in search bar and had to google and follow steps from other side to create the BAT file and install the gpedit.

Sounds complicated but I'm going to follow your instructions and give it my best shot because I am sick to death of Windows 10 updates being forced on me - Their updates are totally useless and play havoc with my PC - messing up all my internet connection settings and making me lose my documents whilst I'm in the middle of typing them and Windows 10 decides to download some rubbish update in the background and then randomly crashes my computer without warning with; "We ran into a problem :( We're now restarting your computer" *Stop this nonsense Microsoft We don't like it.*

Ok Friend, I did the procedure here because I couldn't take these updates imposed by Microsoft on my Win10 anymore! I had done a procedure on a channel here in Brazil, but in the period about 4 more updates arrived! The last one was on 6/18. That demolished my internet and my Telegram desktop version, everything became slow, videos taking time to load on youtube and on Telegram PC you only saw that loading icon in the corner of the screen! When Microsoft always wants to push its updates and push you to Win11, the first sign is the instability of the computers, it is slow, unstable, resets out of nowhere and when you turn on the next day, the updates are waiting for you! I removed the updates installed since May and the computer got faster: It's amazing how these updates destroy your system! I'll observe here how the system will behave! Thanks from Brazil- Bricks!

Oh, these sneaky bass-turds... In Task Scheduler, under WindowsUpdate they have a file that we don't have authorization to called : Refresh Group Policy Cache. In its description it states : This task is used to refresh group policy cache in Windows Update. So basically, it will bypass any changes we make and eventually revert back to activating the Update. I was wondering what the heck was going on, because a few months ago, I went through this whole process and deactivated Windows Updates just like this. SOBs!

The last windows update left my laptop with no keyboard, luckily it is a touch screen so I could access my data. It told me that my laptop wasn't suitable for Windows 11 update, so the only thing I could find was to reset back to factory settings Windows 10, which I did and got my keyboard back. I've just followed your instructions and hopefully won't get into that mess again. It has an update listed in my power off section but I am assuming that will go away when I turn off tonight. I am not a paranoid person but I think these computers are being set up so owners can't control what is being done to them. I don't want any updates. I don't turn off my laptop so it doesn't update. I now find that all of a sudden, my computer is off. I have to turn it on by the power button. I own my computer. It shouldn't own me. can I send you a screen shot with a snip tool? If I restart my PC it just goes back to "manual"... I have done the whole procedure 4 times . :) Just thought you would like to know. If I don't restart the PC it is fine, I think. I haven't seen it come back on so far if i don't reboot . All the other things in the group policy and the registry are still there, but it just goes back to "manual "enabled" in services when I reboot . ... :)

I was able to do everything but the Group Policy... When I downloaded and click run as administrator, I never got the "press any Key to continue"... Then when I went back in like the beginning of the video... I got errors
Hopefully it still doesn't run, the updates are destroying my CPU
Update: When I get the error it's "Error 740" (Elevated permission are required to run DISM) (Use an Elevated command prompt to complete these task)
If you can point me in the right direction from here that would be great
