First class train from Zurich to Basel

Today, we travel in the first class carriage on the short journey from Zurich to Basel. We’ll briefly visit the State Archives and Christmas markets, and get a glimpse of our lovely hotel room.

Happy to see that you liked your stay in Basel. It's really an overlooked city by tourists, which is one of its perks. It's not overrun and you can enjoy the historic city centre mostly in peace. Please do gatekeep it ^^

Just comparing those beautiful looking train seats - such an elegant material in grey and red - with the garish designs and ironing board quality of those in UK carriages.

How do you know what sort of train will operate the route? I wanted to go from Zurich to Basel 👍and the double decker seems the nicest. Is where the train terminates any idea of what type of train?

So sad that you took the "wrong" exit at the train station so you didn't see the beautiful hall and front facade of the main entrance

In a few years those trains will be taken off the lines.
