    Thank you so much for this succinct but thorough explanation! I was panicking trying to figure out how to use Google Sheets for a case study.

    Thanks Jalayer Academy. Helped me learn how to do regression analysis on sheets. Studying a managerial economics course and needed to do it on sheets instead of excell.

    Beautiful... watched the multiple regression videos and finally I understood this topic.. I can't wait to build a model with some of the data for the company I work with.. Thank you.. Thank you and Thank you

    Just loved it. Clearly shows how to use the power of XL Miner / G-sheets to do multivariate regression. Thanks!

    awesome tool (XLMiner)! Also, your explanations were superb! You are a gifted teacher.
    Any chance you can do an additional video to calculate Multiple Regression statistics from scratch, without XLMiner? This video is very practical, but it doesn't help students understand intuitively what multiple regression does with the data.

    Do you have a tutorial on regression analysis with non-binary categorical variables? You've showed yes/no type categorical variables. How about a categorical variable relating to state of residence (50 possible values for the US)? Thanks again.

    Tq so much, i am looking for any other options other than MS excel, Finally i found idea, more easier to do the regression analysis using google sheets.. Really appreciate!!

    Is there any tool pack other than XL Miner to do multiple regressions? Google has disabled it.

    Fantastic! You can also CTRL Select multiple columns rather than having them adjacent to one another.

    I don't understand, since the p-values of Price and Holiday are < a=0.05 doesn't that mean that we cannot reject Hzero ie there's no relationship between Price, Holiday and predicted output of the Sales?

    Hi! I'm trying to run a multiple regression in a spreadsheet but it tells me that there are non-numerical values. Could this be due to the missing data, or the labels (I am checking the "labels" box)? what can I do to solve this problem?

      Hi Adrian, did you solve the problem because I'm having the same issue?

    • @andrewnguyen6648
      @andrewnguyen6648 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@pl5420 I filled in the empty cells with 0 and then it started working, provided that I didn't exceed 8 variables.

    I tried to use this with 10 variables and had 27 rows in each and nothing happened... Any ideas? Are there any other programs for Google Sheets that can handle that kind of Linear Regression?

    • @andrewnguyen6648
      @andrewnguyen6648 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It also stopped printing any results for me at 9 variables. So it is possible that it can only handle 8 variables. It took 30 seconds with only 20 rows of data on an i7 CPU, I could add more factors about my setup to be more precise but that would be regression on regression!🤯

      My original goal was to use 1000+ rows of data and keep it to 6 variables. BUT XLMiner Ad On didn't do anything with that. So I kept cutting it back and cutting it back. I finally got it to give me a Summary Output with only 140 rows and 4 variables. Not my favorite, since I am shooting for a Confidence Interval and Margin of Error at 95 and 5 respectively. But that's what happens when your company doesn't want to use Excel and likes Google Sheets...LOL

    What is the maximum number of independent variables allowed in google sheet? Excel allows 16.
    My model has about 20 independent variables. Using spread sheet to run regressions is easier and gets results instantly without coding

    It was indeed very pragmatic and well explained. I'm doing an online course in EDX for retail fundamentals. Yet I can't figure out why the hell my regression for all of the variables is not working. Can I share with someone my google sheets so that someone can take a look? So sorry, but I'm stuck. I'm not dumb, something's happening and I don't know why. I've seen over and over the video...
