Regression seems like it's quantifying the philosophy of 'Gestalt' which basically says that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Science, statistics and mathematics radiate so much humility. This is evident in the regression equation which recognises that deviation from expectations is expected! But unexplained. And without this deviation, without error, the truth is incomplete. So, so beautiful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me (and a whole lot of other people) understand the beauty of marvelous tool. I think the formula at 37:34 would be clearer, if You used the notion of "noise to signal ratio" which is SSE/SST here. Then adj_R^2 is 1-NSR/(1-k/(n-1)). The modifier under NSR shows you to what extend the number of variables "exhaust" the size of data you have.
