    As someone who uses Regression Analysis on basically a daily basis this is a very good starting point for those new to the concept. The P values are also an important measure plus understanding that a final R Squared value might be more significant in one analysis vs another. Eg a 0.60 might be acceptable in one industry/product/test but totally insignificant in another. The outcome is a matter of context.
    Enjoyed the very succinct presentation, congratulations.

      What is a simple way to understand statistical concepts. I work with data but find it hard to grasp these concepts and recall them when dealing with day-to-day challenges. If you can be of any assistance, please drop your email. Thanks

      @inisolation6582 I am new to regression analysis and currently doing it as part of a project. Would you be able to help with interpreting the output? I am using SPSS.

    Really useful video, I am learning regression in R Studio however do not have access to it at work, therefore this has helped me understand how to complete this in excel, thank you

    Excellent explanation of this topic, not much discussed on the internet. The Data Analysis Toolpak is a very appropriate field to make more video tutorials. It can be very helpful.
    Thank you very much Mynda. Brilliant tutorial.

    Nice! TREND and/or FORECAST are useful too for determining the Y value for a given new X value.

      Perhaps a topic for a video as I’m quite new to the statistics but enjoying a very accelerated Excel learning path.

    Mynda, at the end of the video you point out the equation as y=.08x+0.1667. However, at this point in the video you have now added another variable. Therefore, the new equation is y=0.066x1 + 0.038x2 + 0.14. (from the Coefficients part of the regression analysis)

    Hello I did linear regression, but my teacher did not accept it because the number of steps in the formula was low. How can I increase it?

      You could try the data analysis toolpak which is a free add-in available in Excel: support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/load-the-analysis-toolpak-in-excel-6a63e598-cd6d-42e3-9317-6b40ba1a66b4

    So I'm doing lots of linear regression analysis in my bio class at the moment. But we're using office 365, the free version. I can never find the options to put in a trendline or how to show the formulas. So I wanted to ask, is it even possible to do it on the office 365 free version of excel? Do I need to download it/buy it?

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not in Excel Online (Yet). You would have to calculate the trend and then add it as another series to the chart yourself.

    Really enjoyed this video. Best explanation I’ve seen and for a non-statistician, that’s saying something as I completely understood everything…… including the corrected points from @Williammerrit9517.
