This build is really really fun. It is basically just a halberd build, but combining it with the ashes of war and the buff makes it genius. And it is surprisingly strong and viable. You fight most bosses with little effort, just "meet my little friend" and just duo chop chop them to pieces. Well done my friend, well done. A truly fun and OP build from what would normally look like mediocre components but bring them all together and they shine.
Your builds are amazing, i like how they´re always unique. You not just focusing the build around a weapon to buff its damage, you´re always creating characters . That´s something i really enjoy. I already tried the Frozen bleed/Artist build and it´s 🔥😉
Edit. This build is f*king insane. I've defeated Godskin Duo first try with this, I couldn't with the strength build I hab before. But with this they got absolutely annihilated and my weapon wasn't even fully upgraded. Just spamming the ash of war with the bloodflame blade is the dumbest thing I've ever seen and it works 😳

Just tried this on an NG++ playthrough and it is stupidly strong. Sick looking skill and fun to play around with the target lock on generic enemies to hit multiple at once. Great build 🔥
I did a run with this build a while ago, and can’t remember a sicker build I played. Ok double Great Stars with Bloodflame is also pretty OP, but still gets beaten by this, in my opinion. Just imagine also using the mimic tear and double the output on bosses. Did this on NG+7 scaling and it shredded them all.
For those wondering, this Ash of war was patched in 1.09 to no longer apply the effects of you right hand weapon. That means no blood-flame blade, black-flame blade, or innate bleed from the phantom part of the AOW.
From what I can tell, the phantom does not trigger the successive hits to proc the Rotten Wing talisman. Also the buffs applied to the glaive do not carry into the Phantom Slash. Both of these tested on the Caelid Dragons on NG+. Got 0 bleed procs with bloodflame, then tested with black flame phantom hits only, no flame application. The entire time fighting, not a single increase in my damage from the talisman. Edit: The Phantom Slash also does not seem to apply bleed procs from the weapon with the Grave Scythe as well. Tested by fighting a dragon with only the phantom slash. 0 bleed procs.
I can't seem to proc bleed as well. I rewatched the video to see If I did something wrong. Idk if they nerfed it or what since I'm watching it months after the video was posted
This is a strong build. I tried it with few changes: blood affinity with the ash of war and a great-shield on left hand (well, I like to tank damage without dodging much). I would say two advantages of the build are small FP cost and the phantom charging and doing damage even if you get interrupted by an attack.

Nizar's builds are so OP, Fromsoft is starting to nerf them before the videos can drop. This Ash of War still wrecks without the bonus status apply from the phantom. Another great build Nizar.
Omg. I've been struggling with Milannia for three days straight. Was using your nightblade build which is also op but had difficulty beating melannia. I tried this build out and literally killed her the first try!! Killed her so fast she didn't even have a chance to use the waterfowl dance! Totally cheesed her! Thank you so much
Phantom Slash doesn't apply the debuffs from bloodflame blade or black flame blade anymore as of patch 1.09. Unfortunate but this build still absolutely wrecks bosses. Probably going to change out lord of blood's talisman for something else since there are significantly fewer bleed procs.
What i did: Swapped to a cold Grave Scythe (bleed + cold) with Ironjar Aromatic and the Godskin Cloth Talisman (multihit life gain). Raw damage is a bit less (until the frost proc) but still shres. Ironjar ofc only vs more immobile bosses
@@jaratii5448 i think its the "Fixed a bug where status build-ups were unintentionally added to some Weapon Skills" Pretty much all Projectile attacks (and the phantom is a projectile) dont apply status anymore. Your own hit in the weapon art still applies Bloodflame blade or any other status as usual
I’ll definitely have to give this build a try. I’m using phantom slash already with my reaper faith build, and it slaps opponents like no tomorrow. I feel like this will be great on my next character.
Paired it with +10 mimic and shabriris woe and absalutkey dominated Malinia broooo. I been playing this game for 3 months and I’m only on my first playthtough and I beat her on my 6th attempt. You a top G fr. Keep making awesome videos and builds for us man🫶🏼💪. Update: after I beat melania I proceeded to beat the godskin duo, maliketh, the all knowing guy, and Godfrey in less than an hour. Really good build as usual. This weapon + ash combination is pretty fun. I had another STR build I started but kind of abandoned at level40 because the build and the weapon did not feel all that fun. So, I used it to do some basic re-spec and went with this build. And it is fun. Fire giant was just a pushover with the bloodflame glaive and ash.
I don't know if it fits thematically but I am having great fun with this build and the GreatShield Soldier Ashes. The shieldguys go bully the enemy while I chop-chop chip away at them. Fun!
This build is mega powerful even after the phantom slash nerf. I was prepared to be fighting malenia for hours, but i first tried her in two minutes XD
I have followed about half a dozen of your videos but this one pulled me out of retirement after not playing for a good 6 months. I started off mixing your OP Greatsword build with the Captain build and was able to make my way to getting the weapon and ash of war for this one in less than 15 hours even with a bunch of unrelated exploring. I think that's pretty impressive and speaks to how great your builds are. I want to be ready for that DLC! Thanks for pulling me back into the game!
The lore behind this is amazing, it’s like he hunts down and imprisons Nights Calvary riders to join his personal army of clones and they become part of him, like rykard but way cooler because he doesn’t eat just anybody, he only eats Nights Calvary
Guys, please don't put more than 54 points into stength on a lvl 125 build and instead get 60 Vigor. You are going to two-hand the weapon anyway, so at 54 strength you get an effective 81 strength (1.5 multiplier) and hardcap. The remaining 9 points you could spend on endurance and get better poise and resistances.
@@janebtar2167 I know, however you shoot far above the hardcap and would have to sacrifice a lot of other stats on a sl125 build. The returns are not worth it at this soul level.
Also no need to use bleed/flame incantation on weapon when greases exist which is more optimal as you can always pick the most damage increasing element + save fp for buffs and other things. Also he should have probably gone for the beast seal since it has B scaling with strength. I know i'm 1 year late, but just wanted to put this here incase anyone else sees this :)
Guardian's swordspear would actually do more damage on the intent of the build because AoWs do NOT scale with two handed strength, just like riposte and backstab
So it's 2024 and phantom slash is still op af. They patched that the phantom gets the weapon buff so from my testing just play it with a Strength/bleed setup and it still decimates your enemies.

@@Margamingseries9000 that's hard to say with how little information I have right now. I guess you know that you have to use a seal in your offhand to cast it so my guess would be that the infusion on your weapon doesn't allow further buffing. I don't know for sure which infusions don't work with buffs but it's probably all the Magical infusions (Fire, lightning, Ice etc.) and all the status infusions. So if you want to play bloodflame blade on a strength/bleed build you can only go with either heavy or Occult even though heavy would probably be much better.

Never seen anyone talks about how distructive this build is or mentioned it before, tho they said the ash if war is great and all and can be put in many ideas of builds this is the first thorough build ive seen so far and i really like it, gonna try it out with all the insane dlc stuff and buffs and see what crazier numbers i can reach, thanks for this amazing video

From using Phantom Slash defensively to dodge, I also find it cool that I can cast Phantom Slash on one target, then switch targets so I hit another target while the phantom hits the original casted target
Just finished the game with this build. Despite the fact that the ash of war doesn’t apply weapon buffs in recent patches, the build is SUPER OP. Malenia killed in the first try same as Godfrey, Maliketh, and Fire Giant. Radagon and Elden Beast took 2 tries only. Paired with +10 Mimic. Many thanks Nizar!
Best part about the build is the lack of buffing up you need to get that dmg cause i honestly hate having to use like 3-4 buffs before jumping into a battle

Was struggling when i got to the giant lands with my build. Especially the death bird. Swapped over to this, not even all the talisman etc but still managed to kill it first try and so far been very nice to play with, thanks a lot!
I’ve just got to say! I’ve played with the build late game, and though it’s not as great against bosses, if you dip it into arcane & strength it’s very very very good against both bosses & pvp. Just use a health boosting tear & the poise boosting & spam that bleed loss! The blade alone has higher bleed build up then most other weapons in the game meant to be bleed weapons!!! Plus you get the benefit of the DPS all the time! Give it a try! :)
I got stepparents and i got to live in spain, they dont let me play any 18+ game even tho im 17 yrs old, when i go back to finland i havent played elden ring or any other game for almost half a year, if i get to know the best builds i can finally beat stuff without dying all the time and learn everything again
The fact that this build allows one to tank through and cancel phase 2 waterfowl is my main reason for wanting this build. Can’t wait to also use mimic tear with this for double the damage
Did this yesterday and between me and my mimic, it was a scene out of Bleach, at one point it was up to 8 hits happening consecutively. Whoever it was I was fighting, their health bar just simply melted away as they were pretty much stun locked.

That ash of war is my favorite. Once the clone is out nothing can stop him from swinging. Not even you being knocked around or dying. I swear that chad phantom has more kills than I do at this point

This weapon and ash go perfectly with my main character “Sauron’s waifu” use to just be the big fire and magma spells and a couple of the dragon breath incantations but now she has a big sloppy weapon and summons the “dead” to do her bidding you helped me complete my character so huge thanks man sincerely
On the str vs dex comments, two handing weapons doesn't apply strength scaling for ashes of war(or crits), and also, it multiplies your effective strength, not your AR, so the effect is pretty low on a character with 80 strength. Still great for the extra phys defence(34.9 at 80str) as opposed to unused spell casting speed, horse-poise, and fall damage resistance, and to match the look of the clone.
Favorite part about your builds, is they are always on point and genuinely yours... other favorite part about your builds is seeing multiple copycat videos posted 48 hours after you post your builds haha
Sadly, bloodflame blade's hemorrhage-over-time effect and blackflame blade's max-hp-based damage no longer apply to skills that use the bullet formula, and phantom slash is one of them. I just tested it to be sure. By the way, it seems that you have to be unlocked to dodge out of the attack so that only the phantom attacks. I think this change might have been a side effect when they got rid of a lot of interactions having to do with fire's deadly sin. I know it's a spell, not a skill, but the timing is right, and I have other reasons that I won't bore you with and honestly don't remember well at this point. You also used to be able to get four stacks of bloodflame blade's hemorrhage-over-time effect with the glintblade phalanx skill (not the spell), one per glintblade: th-cam.com/video/z32SuiiogOg/w-d-xo.html The one interaction that still works with bullet skills is that with the buff from the Shared Order skill or the Golden Epitaph skill, bullet skills will true-kill skeletons.

@@blindmanai6957 Yeah you can hold up to get to your first thing, but then you still have to flip through and wonder which one you're on. If you assign it to your quick pouches, you never have to look, you always know. I have HP on left, FP on right, Physick on bottom, and Torrent on top

I’ll definitely have to give this build a try. I’m using phantom slash already with my reaper faith build, and it slaps opponents like no tomorrow. I feel like this will be great on my next character.

Really good build as usual. This weapon + ash combination is pretty fun. I had another STR build I started but kind of abandoned at level40 because the build and the weapon did not feel all that fun.
So, I used it to do some basic re-spec and went with this build. And it is fun.
Fire giant was just a pushover with the bloodflame glaive and ash.
I don't know if it fits thematically but I am having great fun with this build and the GreatShield Soldier Ashes. The shieldguys go bully the enemy while I chop-chop chip away at them. Fun!
This build is mega powerful even after the phantom slash nerf. I was prepared to be fighting malenia for hours, but i first tried her in two minutes XD

I have followed about half a dozen of your videos but this one pulled me out of retirement after not playing for a good 6 months. I started off mixing your OP Greatsword build with the Captain build and was able to make my way to getting the weapon and ash of war for this one in less than 15 hours even with a bunch of unrelated exploring. I think that's pretty impressive and speaks to how great your builds are. I want to be ready for that DLC! Thanks for pulling me back into the game!

With Mimic Tear you could have 3 clones attacking at the same time. 🤯

As of 1.09 the Phantom does not carry Bloodflame or Blackflame blade. Only the character attack will trigger these.
The lore behind this is amazing, it’s like he hunts down and imprisons Nights Calvary riders to join his personal army of clones and they become part of him, like rykard but way cooler because he doesn’t eat just anybody, he only eats Nights Calvary
Guys, please don't put more than 54 points into stength on a lvl 125 build and instead get 60 Vigor. You are going to two-hand the weapon anyway, so at 54 strength you get an effective 81 strength (1.5 multiplier) and hardcap. The remaining 9 points you could spend on endurance and get better poise and resistances.
You can put 99 points into strength and it will still scale 1.5x when you're twohanding
@@janebtar2167 I know, however you shoot far above the hardcap and would have to sacrifice a lot of other stats on a sl125 build. The returns are not worth it at this soul level.

Also no need to use bleed/flame incantation on weapon when greases exist which is more optimal as you can always pick the most damage increasing element + save fp for buffs and other things.
Also he should have probably gone for the beast seal since it has B scaling with strength.

Guardian's swordspear would actually do more damage on the intent of the build because AoWs do NOT scale with two handed strength, just like riposte and backstab
So it's 2024 and phantom slash is still op af. They patched that the phantom gets the weapon buff so from my testing just play it with a Strength/bleed setup and it still decimates your enemies.
Yo by any chance do you know how to apply the incantation like bloodflame and black flame? I have enough faith to have them but it just won’t let me put it on my weapon
@@Margamingseries9000 that's hard to say with how little information I have right now. I guess you know that you have to use a seal in your offhand to cast it so my guess would be that the infusion on your weapon doesn't allow further buffing. I don't know for sure which infusions don't work with buffs but it's probably all the Magical infusions (Fire, lightning, Ice etc.) and all the status infusions. So if you want to play bloodflame blade on a strength/bleed build you can only go with either heavy or Occult even though heavy would probably be much better.

Any idea if electrify armament works on it?
Never seen anyone talks about how distructive this build is or mentioned it before, tho they said the ash if war is great and all and can be put in many ideas of builds this is the first thorough build ive seen so far and i really like it, gonna try it out with all the insane dlc stuff and buffs and see what crazier numbers i can reach, thanks for this amazing video

From using Phantom Slash defensively to dodge, I also find it cool that I can cast Phantom Slash on one target, then switch targets so I hit another target while the phantom hits the original casted target
Just finished the game with this build. Despite the fact that the ash of war doesn’t apply weapon buffs in recent patches, the build is SUPER OP. Malenia killed in the first try same as Godfrey, Maliketh, and Fire Giant. Radagon and Elden Beast took 2 tries only. Paired with +10 Mimic. Many thanks Nizar!
Best part about the build is the lack of buffing up you need to get that dmg cause i honestly hate having to use like 3-4 buffs before jumping into a battle

yeah it definitely does, 100%. I modeled the clones in the background story from the mimic tears, and you can see them use phantom slash in the video. If you want to make it even more OP and make the galaxy explode, definitely use it

This with mimic tear also fits lore wise because it’s like 2 more shadow clones with your tear using the ash of war
Was struggling when i got to the giant lands with my build. Especially the death bird. Swapped over to this, not even all the talisman etc but still managed to kill it first try and so far been very nice to play with, thanks a lot!
I’ve just got to say! I’ve played with the build late game, and though it’s not as great against bosses, if you dip it into arcane & strength it’s very very very good against both bosses & pvp. Just use a health boosting tear & the poise boosting & spam that bleed loss! The blade alone has higher bleed build up then most other weapons in the game meant to be bleed weapons!!! Plus you get the benefit of the DPS all the time! Give it a try! :)
There are many crazy strong builds out there, but this one actually looks COOL. Extra points for that.
I got stepparents and i got to live in spain, they dont let me play any 18+ game even tho im 17 yrs old, when i go back to finland i havent played elden ring or any other game for almost half a year, if i get to know the best builds i can finally beat stuff without dying all the time and learn everything again
if you are planing on using this build 2h 54 str is the same as 80 in 1h (soft cap for pure strength)
The fact that this build allows one to tank through and cancel phase 2 waterfowl is my main reason for wanting this build. Can’t wait to also use mimic tear with this for double the damage
Did this yesterday and between me and my mimic, it was a scene out of Bleach, at one point it was up to 8 hits happening consecutively. Whoever it was I was fighting, their health bar just simply melted away as they were pretty much stun locked.

That ash of war is my favorite. Once the clone is out nothing can stop him from swinging. Not even you being knocked around or dying. I swear that chad phantom has more kills than I do at this point

This weapon and ash go perfectly with my main character “Sauron’s waifu” use to just be the big fire and magma spells and a couple of the dragon breath incantations but now she has a big sloppy weapon and summons the “dead” to do her bidding you helped me complete my character so huge thanks man sincerely
I was doing katana for most of the game, switched to this for last part of Farum Azula and all become so much easier (no rebirth needed).

On the str vs dex comments, two handing weapons doesn't apply strength scaling for ashes of war(or crits), and also, it multiplies your effective strength, not your AR, so the effect is pretty low on a character with 80 strength. Still great for the extra phys defence(34.9 at 80str) as opposed to unused spell casting speed, horse-poise, and fall damage resistance, and to match the look of the clone.
Favorite part about your builds, is they are always on point and genuinely yours... other favorite part about your builds is seeing multiple copycat videos posted 48 hours after you post your builds haha
Sadly, bloodflame blade's hemorrhage-over-time effect and blackflame blade's max-hp-based damage no longer apply to skills that use the bullet formula, and phantom slash is one of them. I just tested it to be sure. By the way, it seems that you have to be unlocked to dodge out of the attack so that only the phantom attacks. I think this change might have been a side effect when they got rid of a lot of interactions having to do with fire's deadly sin. I know it's a spell, not a skill, but the timing is right, and I have other reasons that I won't bore you with and honestly don't remember well at this point. You also used to be able to get four stacks of bloodflame blade's hemorrhage-over-time effect with the glintblade phalanx skill (not the spell), one per glintblade: th-cam.com/video/z32SuiiogOg/w-d-xo.html The one interaction that still works with bullet skills is that with the buff from the Shared Order skill or the Golden Epitaph skill, bullet skills will true-kill skeletons.

That's a good one. I just hold the arrow and it flips to the first item automatically. Works on spell list too.
@@blindmanai6957 Yeah you can hold up to get to your first thing, but then you still have to flip through and wonder which one you're on. If you assign it to your quick pouches, you never have to look, you always know. I have HP on left, FP on right, Physick on bottom, and Torrent on top

it doesn't break it, trust me it's still insanely OP. Just take a look at the Elden Beast/Radagon examples, the raw damage gets nutty

I've augmented this for a dex focused Spectre Knight cosplay build using the Grave Scythe and it shreds. It's such a versatile build.
